Do you blame him?  Frankie's "Who Loves Ya, Pretty Baby" makes Noory's  pizza rolls sizzle and brings visions of Linda Moulton Howe to his fevered brow.
He aLways plays Is this Love for  Linda mountain Howe , but she never answers him

I didn't know that.  That totally makes sense.

Cause the players gonna play, play, play
And the haters gonna hate, hate, hate
Baby I'm just gonna shake, shake, shake
Shake it off

I can see Dave and Tommy reinacting the video in those seedy hotels they like so much.

Didn't the music connoisseur George Noory recently state that Taylor Swift is his second favorite music artist... after the Coast To Coast AM Christmas CD?

Yep, he plugged the Holiday CD, and talked about how great all the performances were, then after stalling came up with Taylor Swift, and Nelly.

He
Tey did play that nice four seasons song last night, which one was that

He played Dawn.  Its an ok song but not one of my favorites.

So sad, his pining for her through sappy soft rock.

ROTFLMAO!!  I almost spewed.  Taylor Swift is ok.  She's got a lot more class than most of the other ladies in the business. Her music really doesn't do much for me though I confess Shake It Off is kinda catchy.  I like a good hook and that song has it.

Linda Moulton Howe actually had aliens leave an answer for Noory in a crop circle formation. But that message is not fit for a family forum such as this.

It is catchy no doubt, but Ms. Swift is no Lady Gaga who if you strip away all the crazy outfits is very talented. She is a lot like Elton John in that way.

That's ok. Say it.  Every thing imaginable has been said on this forum. If kids are reading this forum, they've already been corrupted.

Noorie only brought up Nelly because they both spent time in the St. Louis.

Yeah, I have most of Gaga's stuff. She's an excellent songwriter. I really wasn't thinking about her.  I was thinking about Miley Cyrus, Britney (a guilty pleasure), Rhianna (another guilty pleasure) and Madonna.  Madonna strikes me as desperate these days. I liked her early stuff up to about 2000. She's the next Mae West.  Ever see Sextette? Talk about embarrassing.

I thought Taylor Swift sang country. That song was utter garbage.

Sad songs say so much.

When the Noorie was asked about music, it just seemed like he had no passion about it.  Sure he'll talk about Sinatra and such but it seems more like it's just the show-biz part he cares about.

Same thing with books, he just doesn't care.  He does like some movies, but it seems like it's just certain clips of the most obvious pop-culture-endorsed movies.  I don't get it.

This Atlantis guy may be more scientifically based than Snorge can handle. We could hear open lines soon.

Maybe my imaginary interview with Lionel Fanthorpe will become true!

I think she may have started that way, but pop is where the money is at apparently because it didn't last long. The kiddies by that kind of shit up.

This guy didn't mention Crete.  If you look at the Minoan culture that was there, it seems kind of like what you'd think Atlantis would be (pictures of dolphins and feasts and music and general good times).

The idea is that Santorini blew it's top and a tidal wave wiped out the shores on Crete.  I think geologists proved this at some point.  Also it makes sense that it was near a volcanic area since earthquakes (like those Plato mentioned) are often associated with volcanic activity.

Santorini is thought to have possibly been part of a Minoan trading empire.  I once read a good case for Santorini and the Minoans as Atlantis by Rodney Castleton, and was one of the four candidate the guest mentioned.  He may have called it Thera or Akrotiri (spelling?) though.  Thera was the name for Santorini and Akrotiri was the Minoan city there.

Don't misunderestimate George Noory. He can't get enough of books.

In high school he was a voracious reader of Cliffs Notes and Classics comics

And he has just discovered Wikipedia. He was apparently cruising the web the other night reciting factoids to his dead rock and roller author guest.

And then there are the dust jackets of the books his guests have written.

And... did you hear, "To Serve Man" it's... a.... cook book!

But George eats all his meals at 7-11 so he doesn't need to read it.

That's right. I like Sinatra so I don't pester the Noorie about his music.  I wish the Noorie would play some of Sinatra's other cuts like Strangers In The Night but I guess that's too autobiographical for the Noorie's taste.  He is totally showbiz.  Witness his transformation from ugly, slightly pudgy graying self to the tall fit man with that lame rug.

He really seems to be one of the most vacuous people on this planet.  That's probably why he couldn't stay married.  The only passion the man has for himself.  Every night he goes to bed fantasizing about himself with a vibrating butt-plug up his ass.

That's fascinating material regarding Santorini.  I bet it had something to do with the collapse of Egyptian civilization too. The Old or Middle Kingdom. I can't remember what year it exploded.

+1 to the caller who brought up the Silmarillion.

Wow, a caller mentioning Tolkien's Silmarillion is relation to Atlantis.

Wow, I guess there are a few intelligent callers left.

Sounds like a cool book.  Didn't know the Minoans had made it up that far so that does make sense.  I was also intrigued by the guest mentioning "sea-people" who washed up ashore around Egypt.  Could have been some ragtag Minoan survivors.

Nicky, as George would call you, you're starting to sound like Art.  That's a good thing. It'll make the time pass easier until Art comes back on.

There was some debate over the exact date, but as I recall it was about 1500 BC.  The Minoan culture seems to have survived in some form until after the sack of Troy in 1193 BC, but the Mycennaeans were dominant by then.  At that point there were ostensibly all those migrations the guest talked about by the Sea People and other groups.  That was the start of the Greek Dark Ages which lasted three or four hundred years until Homer wrote his epic tale.
