The kid was fucking 6 years old, George, when he told the tall tale.  If they put him in jail for that, George, they should put you in jail for being stupid.

After the three day week-end I'm working hard to catch up. Did he really say this? Using this logic 90 percent of Snoorge's author guests would be in jail. Atten: Bonehead Jorch, this is why you need to vet your guests.

Welcome back, T cubed.
Misery enjoys company.  Post often.

Thanks, ItsOver!  I'm sure Jorch will supply us with enough misery to last another ~1900 pages, heh.

Operation Paperclip tonight.  Very interesting topic... any bets as to whether Jorch will ask, "Hey, whatever happened to that helpful Clippy fellow?  He's not on my Microsoft EyePad..." ??  :D

Haha, you've still got it Trip T!

Ohhh! Paperclips, a hot topic, and here are some questions I submit for asking:

1.  Do you prefer big paperclips or large paperclips?

2.  How do they make colored paperclips, do they use GMO's?

3.  Have you ever seen a paperclip come through a portal and if you have do they fly?

4.  Are paperclips angelic?

5.  Are paperclips demonic?  Did you know that when I get mad at someone I exoricize the paperclips, give them names, and clip them on the memos I don't like?

6.  How did you get interested in paperclips?

This is just the tip of the paperclip, I just don't want to overload an overworked mind.

Not Noory's attempted kidnap story again...How was this an attempted kidnapping? He says they went through a “seedy neighborhood near the airport” and that the van broke down. The driver was nervous because he knew he could be held up, not because he planned it. The ONLY thing strange was the door handle breaking, which can’t be unusual in a crummy old shuttle van in Mexico. “We finally got out of the van” = I climbed my fat ass over the seats and got out the front door. Big deal. Then there were “people trying to take us or get us.” Huh? What does that mean? Translation: Poor Mexican people surrounded the van, looking at the rich American who just crapped his pants. There’s no mention of guns, which kidnappers would have used quickly to abduct them. Give me a break. Then, heroically, he waves $100 at a passing car and narrowly escapes certain death. Yeah, right. He wouldn’t have gotten away if any real kidnapping action had been taking place. What a joke. Run back to your gated community and dry your Big Baby tears.

I hate this story, and it's a great example of what a sheltered life Snoorge has lead. Having spent a great deal of time in Mexico, and speaking Spanish as well, I can testify that the kidnapping of foreign tourists is a non-issue. I think George has only traveled for business and weddings, and is pampered and guided around when he does travel, so he has no sense of what other countries are like. I've been further under the barn hunting for eggs than Snoorge has been away from home.

Of all the paperclips you've studied, what's the single most fascinating one?

Do all cultures use paperclips?

Zeeb, I don't know what I've got- it's probably just gas ;D

I was very pleased to have a double shot of Knapp this past weekend, but the Hat Man chick from Sunday night- she kept laughing as she spoke, I had to switch over to the BBC.  She sounded like the broken condom baby of Jo Anne Worley and Charles Nelson Reilly, ffs.

Yeah if you check over on the Knapp thread, she did not rate highly.  I found her strangely entertaining but probably for all the wrong reasons.

Another great topic wasted on Jorch.  "I've always liked paper clips.  Just don't get me on staples.  Work uf thuh Devul, I tell yuh!"

Some activist investor is trying to get Staples and I believe Home Depot to merge together.

Three hours till showtime and there's no mention of tonight's first hour guest on the C2C website.  Or maybe it's a split show.

Of course, I use the term 'guest' loosely.  More like horrified visitor.

Agree, and disagree. He is clueless. As a tourist like Norry was likely going to a resort, protected from all that is Mexican, you will have no problems. If, these days, you go like a college or highschool kid or trucker etc to get cheap drinks or get laid in a border town you might have issues. Especially if you also are going for cheap drink, drugs or to a disreputable pharmacia in non-tourist areas (actually the boystown or zona rosas areas are the part of town that are "more safer" now with the cartels. So I'm told.) But driving to get there or going alone, getting too loaded, etc. We all remember Kilroy and cult story. But that cult guy was born here in USA!! (Just went there to go crazy.)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adolfo_Constanzo
-Who is REALLY in danger in Mexico is if you are a poor women or girls, especially in border towns or maquiladoras (!!!), you are an honest cop or politician, you live as a rancher or in small town near the border, are a child, or get involved in any capacity with drugs--- or refuse plata o plomo if you run a small business, farm, trucking company, etc.

That was a real shame.
I hate to see Knapp wasted for the few times we get to enjoy him.  I doubt he gets to select his guests.  Unfortunately.

Hate to get off the subject of Snoorge's suckage, but I (a woman) have driven to Central America (alone) in my own car  five times. Slept in my car in Cullican and border towns where the bodies were supposed to be stacked life cord wood and bullets are supposed to be flying through the streets. IMO most of what is on the news is fear porn.

Yeah, maybe. When was that? Which border-towns? Living down closer though I don't think so at least in recent years. I won't go over anymore and don't know many who will (even diehard types or Hispanics.) It isn't just me- but activists, often feminists, who are claiming lots of bad things (recall the normal school killing stuff recently?) Or the tens of thousands missing in Juarez area? Frankly, I'm often accused of "not recognizing" things and always reminded "it is different for a male", "it is different for a white guy". Which is likely true to an extent. (I still question and laugh at the "slutwalks" I saw in London or those protesting Ukrainian and Russian women (who do so by getting naked) and associated ridiculous campaigns for BGLTs everywhere etc.)

But I will admit the abuse/murder of women in Mexico. (And others.) Even Mexicans move here (not just laborers any more but rich people or laborers bringing their families (they used to send money back home and return there for holidays...not any more. Not even for Easter or Christmas will they go back often)and this before Obama said "come all" and opened the border. Not fear porn (at least for those who live there.) It is likely, literally fear porn for the American and European kids watching on internet but that is a sick society of sadistic internet voyeurism.) But for the Mexican situation news I suggest blog del narco (if you still can read Spanish) or borderlandbeat (translate articles and less of the "blood n guts" but more on the politics and narco-politics.)

Tijuana, Ciudad Juarez, Matamoros, Nuevo Laredo, and yep it was recent. If you want to know more read my story @ www.searchingforfernando.wordpress.com  NOW LET'S RETURN TO THE SUCKAGE OF SNOORGE. I hate like hell when this thread dissolves into politics. Do you know how difficult it is to keep up with this thread on a library computer when I have to wade through pages and pages of politics. BORING, BORING, BORING...just like C2C.

Speaking of difficult surfing at the library, try surfing porn there.
It's a mood killer when they tell you to put your clothes back on, or they sneak up on you and throw your rhythm to hell.

There are some strange types here. Sometimes I sneak a peek at what they are looking at and it isn't pretty.

It was a shame that the Bible Code guest never got back to explaining how the '1,000 monkeys'  critic, the guy who found similar 'codes' in every book he looked at, was wrong in regards to the Bible Code somehow being unique.

I was truly curious in hearing his reasoning.

I recall Michael Heiser being a huge critic of the Bible Code back in the day, along with disdain for the Ancient Alien spankers.

I watched a couple of You Tube videos of George answering questions in interviews.

He is one flaky son-of-a-bitch.

This one, in particular, is worth watching at 2:34 where he is describing the second of two of his most memorable calls:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79UdOJCuFa0

George:  "There was one lady who called and said, 'I can't see the stars!'

"Of course, it was a cloudy night.  But I told her they were all burned out . . . I don't know why I did that."

And then the interview abruptly ends with George hoping to be around another ten years.

That last sentence above -- as if it wasn't weird and unsettling enough -- is accompanied by a facial expression that makes George look like a little boy who has been caught again while torturing his pet.

Even though the interviewer is only a semi-professional young broadcast journalist of some sort -- "That's awesome," is her hilarious reply -- George delivers this confession as if he's talking to a psychiatrist.

OMg, I'm dying...all burned out lol, was he joking? Bwhahaha...

I heard the Torah Code guy actually found George Noory in the Code.  Dumbass, backdoor man and incompetent broadcaster were also found beside his name.
