Guest claims tuberculosis by riding a bicycle without tires.

Indeed, the key is to ride the bike over stones.

I found that picture of Leedskalnin where his hands look like claws.  They definitely don't look like your typical human hands but its hard to tell because the photo is from a medium range.

Of course they are.  I think we hold the same beliefs.  I also think we have a right to say what we want about those guests as well.  I just wish Coast was less political than it has become.

Exactly.  Earlier in his career Art did shows on politics and got sick of it.  That's why he created Coast to Coast AM, to explore the paranormal, the unexplained and anything else off the beaten path.  It would be nice if George would stick to Art's original vision and leave the politics out of Coast.  If we want to hear politics, all we have to do is turn on Rush or 90% of the other stuff on what's left of AM radio.  If we want to hear Obama bashing we can watch FOX.  If we want to hear GOP bashing we can watch MSNBC.

The facts are these George:  Bush was elected twice.  Obama was elected twice.  Someone else will be elected in November 2016.   Those are facts.  Get over it.  Move on.  Talk about the paranormal, the unexplained and the just plain weird and forget the politics.

When it comes to politics, right or left, one would do well to remember the words of Inspector Harry Callahan:  "Well, opinions are like assholes, everybody has one."

I don't know the full story, but I can't be the only one who thinks it odd that a guy who comes out with an anti-Obama movie, later gets nailed for something like a campaign contribution misdeed, which I'm thinking is somewhat common and fairly unprosecuted.  It's almost like he got singled out?
Uh Yeah,Haven`t we already seen what this administration is willing to do "punish" their enemies? Get on their bad side or wander too close to the truth and it`s  "Release the hounds!".

Well, you knew George was going to ask at least one dumb question but considering the subject matter Noory`s basic, elementary school line of questioning was apt and not too noticeable.

That's what Rush Limbaugh talks about for 3 hours a day.  And Glenn Beck.  And Laura Ingraham.  And countless other local and national shows on AM radio, 24 hours a day.  It's what FOX news talks about every evening during Prime Time.  Turn on AM radio and FOX and you're going to hear OBAMA, OBAMA, OBAMA, OBAMA, OBAMA, OBAMA, OBAMA 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

That's not enough?  Coast to Coast has to be devoted to Obama bashing too?  Where do we stop?  The Miss Universe pageant?  The Price is Right?  QVC?  Sesame Street?  Suspend all regular radio and television program and have people scream BENGHAZI!!!!! 24 hours a day.

I may be a minority here, but four hours of some guy harping on Obama with Dumb Ass saying, "there's no doubt about it" every few minutes isn't my idea of amusement - which is what C2C used to be about.  Amusement.  Fantasy.  Something strange to take your mind off whatever was happening in the real world.

That's your opinion and, as an American, you are entitled to it.  Personally, I'm not too happy with George W. Bush and his war on Iraq that killed over 3,000 young Americans, wounded and permanently crippled many more,  created an ally for Iran and bankrupted the country, leaving it teetering on the verge of total economic collapse in 2008.  I'm an American and I'm entitled to that opinion.

Obama's approval rating, according to Gallup, is now 44%.  George W. Bush's approval rating hit a low of  25% Oct 31-Nov 2, 2008, according to Gallup.

You think Obama is the worst ever.  I think G.W. Bush was the worst ever.  So what?  We're both Americans.  We're both entitled to our opinions.  I have friends who feel as you do.  We're still friends.  We still have backyard barbeques.

The question remains.  Ninety percent of AM radio is OBAMA, OBAMA, OBAMA 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Same with FOX News.  Does the show Art Bell created to discuss things that go bump in the night have to be devoted to OBAMA OBAMA OBAMA OBAMA as well?

AM radio and FOX were having a field day with Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky in the 1990s. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Art gave us a break from it overnight with a guy allegedly flying over Area 51.  Mell's hole.  Art gluing his lips together during a commercial break.  Art falling into a hole where his porch used to be during a commercial break.

This is the fundamental question.  What is Coast to Coast going to be?  True to what Art Bell created it to be?  Or just another hack political opinion show hosted by George Noory?  Judging by the number of C2C listeners (Bell vs. Noory), the public has already decided which format they prefer.

You sound a little defensive.I don`t like the football mentality of Republicans vs. Democrats. And as far as Art is concerned he was ALWAYS talking about big picture (see Constitution) issues whether it was gun rights, privacy rights, first ammendment rights etc.He had many guests on those subjects.Surely you agree this President has acted more like a king than someone who reveres and respects the Constitution? You made your opinion about Bush very clear-Obama is infinitely worse.Sure Bush made some big mistakes but when you have a fire in the kitchen you don`t throw gasoline on it.

Correct.  I made my opinion about Bush very clear and there's nothing defensive about it.  I think Bush is an idiot.  I think his draft-dodging chicken hawk buddy Dick Cheney should be behind bars.

And you made your opinion about Obama very clear - you think he's infinitely worse than Bush.

So what?  I'll say it again.  We're both Americans.  We both pay our taxes.  We're both entitled to our opinions.

The question remains.  What is Coast to Coast AM going to be?  True to the vision of Art Bell?  Or just another political opinion show?

Wait.  Nevermind.  That matter has already been decided. Premiere, apparently, is quite happy with it.

It is what it is.

Of course, I agree, and he admits that too.  But the question I'm raising, which he just raised as well, is the idea of selective prosecution.  I think it's odd that I rarely hear of people getting nailed for minor campaign contribution shenanigans like this, but somehow this very prominent anti-Obama voice got caught.
It is, sort of, like data retention at a company (or maybe that the data-mining and retention at the NSA centers.) If you are some hot-shot sales guy or worker and bringing in the numbers the company might not care that you use personal email to message friends, on facebook, or surfing for porn. However, when it comes time that company needs to downsize or you get into a political dispute or you are making your quota but not really "kicking ass" the company can use that retained data about your "violating company policy" internet use to kick you out easily. Same with Obama's IRS. Many have committed errors (who can't with the 1000's of pages of changing IRS regulations, laws, and codes) but anyone or group who runs afoul of Obama or government policy can be targeted for prosecution or at least audit.

Oh, boy. I should have stayed up for this.

If George said that all religions worship the same God, and it sounds exactly like something he'd say, then it's a classic example if his laziness and hackiness. This is a cliche often mouthed by fuzzy thinkers, often of the New Age variety, who have not deeply studied religions.

Yes, I agree that the Obama administration is pretty good at getting back at its enemies. The IRS affair is a good example. Did you know that Obama won one if his elections in IL by getting an opponent kicked off the ballot on a technicality?  It's the Chicago way. This is why a lot of us were anxious for Andrew Breitbarts autopsy results. He was only 43. But he had a history of a weak heart so we have to accept it.

I seem to also recall that he got an opponent to leave the race by obtaining divorce documents that were sealed by the court of his opponent and made them public. Nothing would surprise me about this guy Obama even possibly whacking Breitbart, which is another Chicago way to deal with opponents, who was becoming very troublesome for the administration.

And, yes, George did claim that "all religions worship the same God" and the guest, D'Souza, was sort of taken aback by such a ridiculous and uneducated assertion and sorta of quickly carried on.

I understand your frustration, but why would Bell want to come back to Coast? After all his hard work of building it up and then leaving it in the hands of GN and co, I kinda got the impression he was ready to move on to other things. Besides, I think Coast is dying and I doubt it can be resurrected by anyone. I'd rather see them give the spot to Clyde Lewis/GZ but maybe they're concerned about his health issues. A rotation of a few shows and maybe some retro programs might attract a new audience. I don't see Coast as a phoenix rising from the flames but more as a cooked goose.

I recall Art talking about the Clinton scandals, gun rights, etc quite a bit back in the day actually. He had well-known callers even that would always call in on the issues (especially liberal callers that Art would poke fun of.) And he interviewed some real questionable characters politically (William Pierce, etc.)

I agree with you.  With as much bad blood as there is between PremRat and Art, plus his appreciated disdain for all that goes on in the usual corporate environment such as PremRat, witness Noory, Art would not return to C2C.  I was referring to Art's intention to do his own shown next year.  Make it so, Art, and stick around for awhile this time.  There is a great disturbance in the night and you are the cure.

Got it! I haven't kept up with Art's progress. Is he planning on coming back to radio or a satellite station? I agree he would be a welcome voice on night-time airwaves.  I wonder how that would affect GN who seems pretty rattled as it is now. And-GNS!!!!

Art has always been an ardent supporter of the Second Amendment.  His politics, however, have been all over the map.  I listened to him every night back in the 90s and I listen these days to a couple of Art Bell streams. Art on a bad night was infinitely more entertaining that Noory on a good night.

Art was vociferous in his support of the war in Iraq when it was in the formative stages.  He really chided some callers who were against it.  Later, when it all went to Hell, he turned against it in a big way.  In 2008 he was a supporter of Barack Obama.  "I'm a big fan of Barack Obama" he said in a show I just heard a few nights ago.  In that same 2008 show he said he was shocked at the torrent of hatred and bigotry in the fast blasts he was receiving from some of the listeners.

If you were to put a label on Art, libertarian would probably fit the best.  He admired Terrance McKenna the philosopher who was into  psychedelic drugs.  Politics sometimes creeped into some Bell shows but, as I recall, Art usually avoided it and preferred paranormal subjects and anything to do with his beloved Area 51.  I think he was also greatly responsible for bringing Michio Kaku into the limelight.

Only Art Bell could take a Catholic priest (Malachi Martin) and make a huge fan favorite of him.  Generally, with Art at the mic, any conversation he had with anyone was good entertainment.

I agree he'd want nothing to do with Coast to Coast.  It's a steaming, shuddering hulk, ready to implode.  He'd be better off streaming his own show from ArtBell.com.  No suits to deal with and I'm sure he'd have no trouble finding advertisers.  I suspect that's exactly what he'll do when Sirius-XM sets him free to do what he wants.

Welcome to the forum. Nice summation. I think Art as a disc jockey learned to have conversations with people he didn't know. About the only kind thing I can say for noory is, if true, as a news person he didn't develope a skill for making interesting conversations. And if he had any talent for finding information... well he lost that skill.
