Host:

John B. Wells

Guests:

Professor Griff

Filling in for George, John B. Wells will welcome rapper, spoken word artist, and member of Public Enemy, Professor Griff, who will expose the Illuminati's take over of hip hop and how they use music and popular culture as mind control over society.

SERIOUSLY?????? THIS IS A SHOW!!!
I think george is afraid of doing any show expecially open lines after interviewing the fraud Oates on Thursday, so Nooron is ducking out on Friday.

Wow - if I hadn't looked it up to be sure, I would have thought it was a joke.

This has to be one of the worst shows ever dreamed up.  I guess if they'll pimp all the other shady people, why not (c)rappers.

And coming from a real Professor, I am personally offended by some "singer" calling himself a professor.

Shame on you John Wells, or whoever is to blame for this travesty.

Public enemy are not yer average gangsta twats. I would love to hear Art or Ian do this interview. Wells? I won't be listening.

Good point - a quality host can make almost anything sound good.

Last night when a friend was driving me home I noticed he had SiriusXM in his car.  When he told me he'd let his subscription lapse,  I told him about Art coming back on Sirius.  This led to talking about Dave Noorie and how bad he sucks, so my friend wanted to tune into Clear Channel for a minute to see if Dave could possibly suck as badly as that.

When we tuned in, it sounded like Dave had just lost the phone connection with his guest.  Dave was rambling, probably without cue cards, while they tried to get the guest back on the line.   After listening to that for about 30 seconds, my friend said, "Good lord, he's drunk on his ass, he has to be!"   Next, as he was reciting his guest's accomplishments, Dave said, "He wrote this paper because he wanted to exemplify how good people turn into evil people."  We looked at each other, and both burst out laughing.   Finally, Dave gets the guest back on the phone, and greets him with, "You don't have to catch us up on where we were in the show.  I already done that."  That's when my friend turned the radio off.

Now Art has another SiriusXM suscriber, and Dave had another (for a minute) listener who will spread the word about how bad Dave Noorie sucks.  I don't know how some of you BellGabbers manage to get through a show with Dave, but hats off to you for taking one for the team so we can all make fun of him here.

Why?  Sounds like Dave was on a roll and just getting warmed up for some truly epic suckage.

Last Saturday night, John B. Wells mentioned this weekend he is doing 3 nights in a row: his regular Sat night, his regular 2nd Sunday of the month, and a fill-in for Noory on Friday.

aldousburbank

This is just too easy. I mean monitoring the frumpyrugboyGnoory show to calibrate suckiness quotient is like monitoring the Port Authority men's room to determine level of smellage. It doesn't take very long. Hi Tommy!

Well, you know, sometimes you can only take so much of a good thing.   ;D

I would remind you that extremism in the defense of quality radio is no vice! And let me remind you also that moderation in the pursuit of mocking Gnoory is no virtue!

You're an evangelist, Lonevoice. Keep on spreadin' the good word.

Luckily for all of us, Dave will disappear into the ether after the 16th. This part of the board will dry up, and our long national nightmare will finally come to an end.

Awww, cut me a little break, Mr. Burbank.  I only listened for a minute, but brought back almost as much suckage as you slackers who listened for the whole show.  Hmmm, maybe there should be a warning about how long one can safely listen to Dave without suffering from some kind of post-hypnotic amnesia.

It's the least I can do if you're going to try to get through on David John Oates night.

I believe that this nation should commit itself to achieving the goal, before this decade is out, of landing a man Gnoory on the moon and possibly returning him safely to the earth. No single space project in this period will be more impressive to mankind, or more important for the long-range exploration of space my personal satisfaction; and none will be so difficult or expensive enjoyable to accomplish. We propose to accelerate the development of the appropriate lunar space craft satellite radio transmission.

Am I missing something here?  "Exemplify" means to show or illustrate by example.  It could be the correct use in this case.

I think you're correct, but is usually used for a positive example, or of something good.

Yes! Heard the 'exemplify' moment. Engendered similar hysteria. He also introduced the guest as having a degree from Stanford and added - and I struggle to find the right word: bathetically, asininely, irrelevanttly? - 'and what a school that is!'

Ae fond hope. Art takes George Knapp with him to Sirius to do the weekend shows, leaving Breather and Snooron to steer the good ship C2C smack into the iceberg.

No. it's grammatic nonsense. In this sentence, it would mean that 'he', the guest, exemplified how good people become evil. That's not what the guest meant, or what Dave was trying to say. He meant 'illustrate' or 'demonstrate' or something similar.
In any case, that's not at all what the guest was trying to do. Rather more complicated than black hat, white hat 'good' and 'evil', but Dave has to reduce it as usual to the intellectual level of a five year old. My apologies to five year olds everywhere.

sleeplessinca

I didn't hear the whole interview but I thought the guest was shocked at his own immorality.  When the parents of one of the "prisoners" expressed concern, he implied that their son just couldn't cut it and was inadequate.  He was ashamed of this in retrospect.

Also it seems George has given up on posting here.

I'm sure he's still reading the thread, so I just want to say hi! And how lame it is that you're having a guest on that was banned from the show. Classy.

Yep, this.  Maybe others here are too old to remember. Back in the 80's, everything Public Enemy rapped about is now what you old guys are hearing on Alex Fatty Jones. Illuminati, cover ups, New World Order, that was PE's bread and butter and nobody else was slinging it that publicly at the time.
