So funny all these references to "Being There" cuz I just watched the 1967 "Casino Royale" with my kids and they liked Peter Sellers so much we are getting "Being There" next.

It is a flukey kind of movie Sleepless. When I first saw it years ago, I thought it was very strange. I was not sure what I thought about it. But it always stayed with me. Shirley Maclain is good in it as well.
Dave is very Chance Gardner-like. But as someone here commented, the difference was, people wanted to listen to what Chance had to say.

I'm listening tonight to the Fear TV guy and what is Snoorz' obsession with dying in your sleep from a bad dream?  I don't think it is so far-fetched but he keeps bringing it up like it is a big deal.  Of course something could terrify you and, if you have a weak heart, you could be done.  I've woken up to some pounders more than once.  What am I missing here and why does he keep harping on this?  Is this more if it bleeds it leads?

I'm listening tonight to the Fear TV guy and what is Snoorz' obsession with dying in your sleep from a bad dream?  I don't think it is so far-fetched but he keeps bringing it up like it is a big deal.  Of course something could terrify you and, if you have a weak heart, you could be done.  I've woken up to some pounders more than once.  What am I missing here and why does he keep harping on this?  Is this more if it bleeds it leads?

I've got epilepsy and sudden death (usually during rest or sleep) is the leading cause of death for people with it. It's a terrifying thing and even a person with a strong heart can be affected. There's no signs of anything freaky in autopsies either.

But George is like, the Dexter of the paranormal. He enjoys fear.

I think, in keeping with the Chance theme, Dave really is simple-minded as a child.  As such, he probably gets shcared with horror movies.  I seriously could see Dave as still sleeping with the light on in his closet to keep the Boogie Man away.

Just wanted to see if anyone has heard this before besides from my local station.  Their current ad for C2C refers to the lisssners as “lovable, late-night lunatics.”  Nice, calling your audience lunatics, huh?  Has anyone else heard this on your station?
