Can Noory pronounce anything correctly?

No

Anyone who doubts that Noory is, at best, only adequate to the task of hosting a show, even at the level of CTCAM (that is late-nite, non-prime-time) has only to listen to the past two nights of programs. His guests raised issues that sparked a load of questions in my mind. Why not in his?
What mind?

scifinj

Touche. Or should that be spelled with a "d?"

WhosURmama

Julie Harris dead.  Didn't she play in Clint's movie, Josie Wales (sp)?

I love how last night's first guest he helped select and then dumped during the show wasn't a "quality" guest.  ;D  Now that's quality.

Yup.  Coming from a quality host.  lmao

I thought the first guest and topic was actually quite interesting but I could also tell from Noory's questions and comments that he had no idea what the guy was talking about half the time.

If you go back a few pages, George was in here talking with us during most of both interviews.

The general consensus was that the guy was part of the viral marketing ploy to sell the game.

There was a press release or some such thing from a radio station, and they called noory "Dave Noorie". Everyone thought it was funny because it showed how unmemorable noory is

SciFiAuthor

If I'm not mistaken, I believe George even called himself Dave Noorie.

b_dubb

noory's "can't beat em, join em" gambit.  day 7. a few out outliers have been further marginalized.  but the den of haterz has in some ways grown more resolute.  shit

I love this analogy. I see you are a new member, krav magra.
I like your posts and how you think.
Glad to see you here on the forum.
Welcome. And, as always, post often!

Thanks, Campsie. We're anxiously awaiting the grand opening of Art Bell's "new store" in three weeks. We shopped at "Wal-Mart" just five times during the past two years. We still get flyers in the mail, though. ;)

You're such a ray of sunshine.

As is this quote from someone you know. "Is there a chance that the devil will win and all the children will be horribly butchered and burned alive?" What's your take on the mindset of someone who would say that? Would George Knapp or John Wells ever say or think something like that?

No, no they wouldn't.  What kind of a person would commit that to print?  And talk on and on about how he was going to donate the money from pre-sales to those fans of his that were in need?   Kind of like the Bee On Bleef subscriptions if they get over a certain number, but somehow they never do?

That quote was from the show. The next quote is from George Noory's book. "I was alone with her in a circle of ruin. The negative thoughts I had projected to destroy the competition and demoralize the young woman had worked."

Actually with "Dave" Noorie telling us "somebody has to keep an eye you," "Dave" has become "Hal."  Let's all give a big welcome to Hal Noorie.

Well I do declare! It's:

I may have missed one or two.

yeah,,,I realized this too. It's like a leaky roof you just can't repair. The water keeps finding its way back in.
I do admire her for being loyal to her core beliefs (dislike for the snoron), but it quickly devolves into something distressing. The rage out-of-proportion to the situation is unsettling.

LOL - that was only 3.5 weeks ago - it seems like we've been calling him Dave for a lot longer for some reason...

I don't really believe in the Devil, but if you've been watching the news from Syria, I'd say George summed up precisely what the Devil's work would look like if he did exist.

I get chills down my spine when I see HAL's eye. God almighty Arthur C. Clarke and Kubrick were great. I wish Hollywood would greenlight more high concept sci-fi than they do.
