I suspect there was some desperation involved as well as a biological clock ticking.  I did see that he loved himself enough to post pictures of himself getting hair plugs to maintain that perpetual youth.  And, that pipe picture with the swirling smoke.  hmm.  Yet, won't drink liquor.  He's best friends with Andrew Zimmerman, the guy that eats anything.  Zimmerman is a case study of how, if your parents have enough money and friends, you can go from drugged out street person to tv star.   Of course, you also get to be a humble inspirational speaker too.   I made a mistake.  I worked within the system, I didn't work the system.

Pube plugs?

Amazing what a Chicago all beef hot dog can do.

oh god, That hot dog looks great.
I get a real lust for a hot dog sometimes. a local store here has some buffalo dogs and some grass fed beef dogs both not having the odd nitrates, nitrites in them. I get a baguette from their bakery , some hot mustard, onions, salsa, peppers,~~~~~they keys are the good wiener and a good grade of bun-like a long Kaiser roll. Same farm has hamburger from both critters , as with the dogs the bun is half the deal, has to be something that adds to the sum of the whole. The bread part needs to be as good as what is stuffed in it for me.
Sorry about jumping off the topic , but that hotdog looks so good.

Gee Hinks, you talkin' to me? I'm on the dark side , ya know?

No, no, I meant Ian - he would do his dumb laugh and then snort at the end like a little piggy.

So, they're kind of like Ian then, only cuter...

apples and oranges.  Ian is another emotionally manipulative putz.  or should I say, Deacon Putz.  BTW, did you know that he was going to the WALTER CRONKITE school of Journalism at University of Arizona for his Ph.D?  Christ, how many times did we get to hear that just so he didnt have to pay tuition?  He and his wife were always getting stuff for free from their radio gig.

I guess Ian and his wife had a morning show in MN.  That had to be as irritating to listen to as public radio (save the car guys).

There were certainly plenty of irritating publicity shots for that show.

With the kids are off to college and Ian now living in Phoenix, I wonder if there is anything going on between them.  Or if Dawg the, uh, Bounty Hunter is back in town.

Pube plugs?

When he was getting them, he had a grin on that looked like a curly pube.  A fat guy goes to a little seminary in Atlanta and suddenly becomes god's mini-me.

Yeah, then it will be Dr. Putznutt - but most importantly, still a putz.

I have to admit I'm more interested in his personality quirks and hosting suckage than how he uses technology, but that's just one persons preference.  Would you care for a stack of cue cards?

I'm still curious if George's people called your people of if your people called his people to get this going.

Does he have any?

My people called his people...you weren't in or I would have called your direct line.  If you will have those cards printed on 4x5's and sent to the PO Box I will start practicing.  I agree I am interested in whatever aspects he chooses to share with us but who thinks he is going to let his guard / persona down for us?  I mean Michael is a great interviewer but I am not.  I'm a dude who used to post / lurk at ufoship.com's shoutbox a long time ago.

Art certainly has detractors on here.  This site is not the 1 thread.  People have posted negative opinions and comments about Art in the past. When he does post people don't show up to actively attack him, the site goes into full on love for Art (not knocking it).  I am not telling anyone to pick a side!  I thought we showed up here because we had a side already.  I reserve my personal final judgement on how I feel about George until his involvement here has played out longer regardless of if we have a conversation with him.  I do respect that he is on here posting still, I think we all know if someone were to push a touchy issue with Art he would be gone in the blink of an eye.

To clarify:  If you called his show he would rip you a new one.  But he didnt build this forum and has enough to keep his interest I highly doubt he would put up with it.

It's easy to avoid posters one doesn't like. Just ignore the posts. Don't read them.

I think hosts can ask tough questions and have conversations without 'yellin' an' screamin'.  Noory apparently can't, but others do.  I'm sure whatever you do will be worthy.  I'm looking forward to it.

I would be surprised to see any interesting thoughts or statements from noory.

B,
You are correct its minimal for the total audience we have, but beyond the jokes (btw some are very very clever and funny)
I wanted to know two things
1) what concerns do the truly interested ones have in me as everyone can grow and change..and I wanted to know that
2) ..I am fascinated by some people who do seem to hate so much that they spend endless hours doing so.
Im curious in the human psyche...who are these people, do they have families, jobs? How would their friends react if they knew how vulger some were.
Please understand, Im ONLY talking about a very few who post here and some of whom have been kicked off.

Above is George's answer to my question re why he is interested in this website considering he has such a large audience etc.  It is important to read. He is odd.

I like your posts.  Don't dummy down now.  I think that you are absolutely correct on every point.  I hope that this site finds its equilibrium again.

+1.  (Not) George Noory is much better than that big phony Dave.

Roy Hinkley

For any new folks, here is how strange Dave appears in person.  Can't quite put your finger on it, but he's just a bit creepy...

"Hi Meghan" said the strange man...

Meghan is just as bad an interviewer as Dave.  He relates the story of telling a lady all the stars burned out and she says "that's awesome, that's amazing" - clearing she is not listening to him - LOL.
