What is strange to me is I've heard references to how George used to be funny.  I can't think of specific examples of his "jokes" right now, but I remember a few he tried to tell on air, and in the YouTube videos of his conventions, that just were not funny and they fell flat as a pancake. 

Then there are the God-awful April Fool's Day "jokes" he does each year that just made me cringe in pain hearing them.

Humor takes intelligence, and, well you see where this is going...

I haven't been happy with c2c for more than 8 years... probably longer. I remember not liking Noory's voice as he took over.

I have spent a great deal of time joking, bitching, and cursing the existence of noory. Now, with Art back, one of two things will happen: Art will suck the life out of what is left of c2c, or he won't. Either way, I will be listening to him, not c2c.

Noory came here to talk to this forum... why? I don't have the answer. I can tell you this, If I were in his shoes, this would be the last place I would show up. Maybe he was trying to be gracious. Maybe he was trying to suck up and quell his detractors. No matter the reason... I doubt it was because he had to.

There probably aren't many here who were more critical than I have been. But, at least for me, it is over. Art is back. Seems pointless and juvenile to keep the hatred going... but that's me.

Looks like I missed all the fun. The above quote from Onan, forum comedian and philosopher, says it all. One could almost swear that Onan played the deep guy on "Northern Exposure". He has that vibe, but he exhibits more deadpan humor.

I'm fascinated to hear more about it. Content, format, etc. And, of course, how badly Noory sucked. Maybe he didn't. I've also been fascinated by the absence of detail on Nighthawk. Not just clips, but trying to track down any record of it draws a blank, unless I'm missing something.

It seems to be part of the same mystery around Noory's biography. It doesn't seem to exist anywhere, not even on his wiki page. We have certain elements: the degree, working in TV in some sort of editorial role, the Navy years, the failed rancher, the failed restaurateur  etc, but no linear narrative to it that I've ever seen.
