I would like to nominate Bateman for the distinguished pizza roll medal for his brilliant assaults against the despised Night Sparrow.  You have served with honor and we salute you!

This time, D-Day lasts a whole month.  ;)

El Kragen

.

Been listening on and off the past few days and I can definitely tell Snoory is trying to up his game. He sounds a lot more engaged like  he's trying to have a conversation. Of course he's terrible at it and says the same crap he always says just with more enthusiasm. Too little, too late.

I've also noted him using one of Ian's patented (and annoying) interview habits. Ian would continually say the guests name, the name of book or whatever and a quick synopsis.  In all the time I've listened to George he's never done that but I heard him do it on both nights this week. I didn't listen long enough to hear him do it as frequently as Ian but just the fact that he did is laughable.

On another subject, (whose harebrained idea was it to have thousand page threads, anyway?!)

I will always love Art for not allowing bible quoting on his show. That was the trap he avoided, and Noory fell headfirst into, although I think he dodged one long rant last night from Coulombe last night which would have caused more headaches than it was worth if that email came back mentioning pedophiles, homosexuality and abortions were the reason why he was dropped. Of course, nothing like vetting the guest long before showtime, right C2C?  ::)

I'm pro-coice and pro-gay rights, but I love G.K. Chesterton and C.S, Lewis. Coulombe is that calibre of author.

Here's a sample in the vein of Swift's "A Modest Proposal" -

"I must say that the arguements in favour of legal abortion have convinced me. Moreover, they have inspired me; so I want to apply them to another area that has concerned me --- contract killings."

"I propose, then, that contract eliminations ("killing" is such a loaded term) be legalised. Hit men could then be regulated and authorized by law."
http://charlesacoulombe.blogspot.com/2005/11/legal-safe-and-rare.html

"Secondly, if we are going to sexualize childrenâ€"and not just through puppets enjoying gay marriage, but through sex ed, ever more explicit sexual references in kid shows, slutty teenybopper fashions, and the kind of kiddie beauty pageants to which the late JonBenet Ramsey was subjected, it is time to stop persecuting as slime the ranks of molesters and kiddie-porn purveyors and start embracing them as pioneers. In a society that constantly encourages everyone to have as much sex as possible, it must be recognized that all who respond to that call will do so in accord with their own bent. If, as a culture, we wink at the aforementioned practices but jump all over molesters when caught, we are simply being teases."

Love that! Puts me in mind of PJ O'Rourke, too.
WAY too clever, sophisticated and witty for Snoory's micro-brain: probably the real reason they dropped him. 'Dave! This guy has a measurable IQ. We have to get rid of him!' Ian or Art could have handled him, not The Idiot.

I wonder what happened to his 'system'

Hi guys, I posted once or twice a couple months ago, but started checking in again after the news announcement that Art Bell was returning to radio. It sure is nice to have him back on the radio.

Anyways, there is a change in George Noory's attitude. He does sound more engaged, however it sounds very 'recited'. Is the show scripted now? I stopped listening to Coast to Coast a while back ago because the shows started to get boring, lots of un "coast to coast like" shows, even politics. Plus I found the cockiness George was beginning to show to be insulting. He hangs up on callers, cuts them off, and does the same to guest! Plus, some of those guest don't sound believable at all. With Art Bell, they all sounded believable.

So how can we listen to Art Bell's show? I don't have sat radio and I just graduated from college and i'm looking for work so can't afford it until I get a job lol. Any radio stations playing it?

Someone besides Bateman needs re-enforcements.
We all need to help the war effort. We all need to start trying to get on the show and ask about the return of art bell. :)

No Art Bell's new show will start on Sept 16 exclusively on pay satellite/internet Sirius/XM radio, not carried on any free radio stations.
There is a free 30 day trial for the internet only package available where you can listen live and to on-demand archives from a computer or wifi internet device (smartphones, tablets, etc with a free app)
After the free trial call to cancel and they will offer you lower price subscription terms probably down to half of the regular price, maybe around $7/month instead of $14.49/month

During Bateman's prank call when George says, "She just started crying..."  What a knucklehead... It was abundantly clear to anyone with half a brain that he'd just been pranked.  That wasn't crying, George; it was glee!  It was the sound of your mediocrity being exposed.  The late, great Dennis Wolfberg (look him up on Youtube:  Dennis Wolfbert 1987) did a riff on old-style intelligence testing when people were categorized (from bottom to top) as idiots, morons, and imbeciles:  George is an idiot  trying to become a moron, hoping that one day, he might become an imbecile.

I like how the guest played along.  ...oh.. oh... yeah... crying that's it.

This info just leaked over the interwebs. Apparently to combat the popularity of Art's new show and to keep Coast listeners loyal, they're going to offer 10 boxes of this special blend of colon blow. Apparently it's super alkalizing. There is unconfirmed rumor that they are working on one with miniature freeze dried pizza rolls.

Thanks for the update popple.  That's good news.  Good news indeed.  I was trying to figure out how to impregnate the turmeric into my morning bowl of bowel fiber.
