In every television series or movie there has to be the guy who asks dumb questions so the members of the audience who otherwise don't get it can both laugh at him and know what's going on.  George just plays the dumb guy, that's all.  Nevermind the fact that every good host is able to engage both the guest and audience without playing dumb.

It makes sense for PremRad to re-sign Noory on the cusp of a possible return to radio by Art.

The worse thing they could do is dump Noory now and put some unknown or relatively unknown and then Art comes in on another station and takes all the listeners.

Art will probably do that anyway but the worse thing PremRad could do is give Art a free leg up.

Noory crowed how he grew the number of affiliation stations from the mid 400s to 500s.
But he didn't note he has lost lots of the big powerful stations and traded them for more very small weak stations...

Before they renewed the contract, they did take applications.  There were two applicants.  They were Barbara Walters, just retired from the View and a cook in the corporate cafeteria.  Hands down Noory got the vote.
