Can Noory pronounce anything correctly?

i just went back and re-read some of that thread... and just a few posts in, you'll see my fat hole complaining about the same shit in almost exactly the same way.  from 5 years ago.

i suck and i quit.

No way, man.  Consistency is a good thing.  You don't want to be a flip-flopper.  This is a crusade against what the Noory is inflicting upon us and we each need our own compass to guide us through and set things straight.  My main thing is the lack of accountability by Noory and his regular guests who present badly researched content without contest.  One of yours is the manipulation of the masses with the nice guy schtick.  That's your North Star.  With your hard work on this forum to provide an outlet, maybe someday we'll be able to banish this sort of incompetence from mass media.

..."well, but george is a really nice guy."  heh heh.

you see?  this has been one of the primary reasons for being annoyed by george's "nice guy" shtick.  it gives him an undeserved escape hatch when someone throws valid criticism his way.  i'm tired of hearing about what a nice guy this is.  i've seen some of his written interactions with random people, and they aren't the interactions of a "nice guy."

Not that being a nice guy isn't important. At least at times.

If I am not nice at my job... after a certain number of complaints, I would be gone. But I can be nice 100% of the time, if I couldn't do my job, I would be gone.

Noory needed to be gone a long time ago.

I'm guessing they're referring to gamma ray bursts which are the most energetic phenomena in the universe, far greater than even a supernova.  If one happened anywhere in our galaxy it could be disastrous if released in our direction.   The most likely explanation is some combination of a black hole and neutron star colliding, though I'm not up on current research.

Clyde had some signals on that apparently weren't pulsars, gamma ray bursts, or currently known phenomena.  They weren't really pulsing type sounds but sounded more like electronic music (think "Forbidden Planet") .  I remember one caller stated they sounded similar to electronic signals from an old FAX-type machine.  Clyde's reporting was kind of cryptic, though, and I don't recall him referencing any sources but I was half-asleep at the time, which didn't help.

I  like Clyde Lewis' show. I know there have been some nasty comments about him on this site before.. But I think he's alright.
Plus he just had some major cancer surgery but is fighting and is back on the air. Noory was off for a week for a pizza roll for Christ sake.

And as a matter of fact, I noticed that about three to four days after Lewis has a topic, Noory copies it.. It happens every time.
Clyde gets a little nutty when the topics are political. But he is a master when  it comes to paranormal..

And I like LMH.
I hope she end on Art's show (*if it happens*)

Same here, HR.  Clyde has his issues but when he has a decent paranormal topic and is "on" he can be quite good.  I admire him too for bouncing back from major surgery to do his show.  He has to be a fighter after all he's gone through.

It's going to be very interesting if Noory ends-up with some serious competition from Art.  I wouldn't be at all surprised if PremRat eventually sinks The C2C Mothership with Noory and Wells and places "Ground Zero" in the slot in desperation.  Let the games begin.

I want Art to take the smoldering wreckage of what he built & take it to the trash heap.

unfortunately Art posted on his facebook page a couple months ago thats exactly what he doesn't want to do, destroy the show he built from scratch.
hopefully Art will not sign with another big network like he did with PremRat, when he sold c2cam to them thats when the problems began.
Art was best in the early-mid 90s when he was totally independent, so hopefully he does that again not sign with just a different big controlling network...

Last night, at the begining of the 4th hour of Ground Zero, Clyde Lewis took a shot at George. He said " I know its late, your listening to the radio, you might want to hear sports scores, a cooking show, a ventriliquist, or maybe you want to hear an old man pretend to be interested in the paranormal"  ??? :o >:( :( :'( :-[ ???

This just prompted me to give Clyde one more chance.

A personality can be compared to an outfit someone is wearing.  It often reveals little about the real person, and it can be dangerously deceiving.  I'd rather have friends and associates that are good people and maybe a little rough around the edges than 'nice' people that aren't good people.

Being nice is certainly a good thing.  Of course people should be pleasant.  Until there is a reason not to be.

I have no doubt he may have thought that at one point.  Maybe he still feels that way.  Me?  I'd be hopping mad that George lied his way into the job (about being interested in the various show topics - clearly, he isn't) and ruined my show.

But perhaps that, as well as his talk about spending as much of his remaining time as possible with his family (that's a lot of time every day of the week), and any of the other statements he's made recently were said, at least partly, for negotiating leverage....

That is very funny....and spot on. I have issues with Lewis, though. His religiosity, his red flaggery, the rants and the Beck-esque emotionalism all grate with me. And he sounds like a televangelist too much of the time. Cudos to him for the fight with cancer. That's the real thing, Noory, not fucking about with turmeric and baking soda. He has a great sound department working for him. The Scissorhands music sign off is great also.

i agree.  there's nothing wrong with being a nice guy.

however, when a guy privately isn't very nice but projects some "nice guy" image he wants others to see him through, that's where i get annoyed.  this forum has documented for years, incident after incident, evidence to suggest this is not a "nice guy."

apparently Art did have the kneejerk reaction to do that initially a few months back and actually had a deal but decided to not sign, so he didn't need any more leverage at that time if he wanted to go face-to-face with c2c and try to destroy his old show.
so any new deal he makes now must be non-competitive with c2c in some way it would seem with his posted facebook comments.

and let me also say...

i've really not criticized noory much on this forum in years.  i reached a sense of futility at some point and moved on.  if art returns to radio (as it appears he's going to), that sense of futility will be wiped and i'm going to feel compelled to really say horrible things about this guy who ruined my former favorite radio show.  a sort of unloading, if you will.  i have a lot of pent up anger and frustration over what noory did to coast.

I'm hoping he at least takes what's identifiable as Coast away from the Snooron. The music, the announcer, the decent guests.. Coast was a mansion Art built with his bare hands; Noory is a squatter.

This. Patrick Bateman comes to mind, without the distingue. And the part about there being "nothing there" is especially accurate..

Yeah I believe him to be a mean spirited, stab you in the back, kind of guy.

What annoys me about that is, he gets away with it. But anyone with a semblance of listening skill can tell in a short time that noory doesn't give a shit about anything but himself.

My advice would be to be "selective."  I've recently heard Clyde with Nick Begich and HAARP and it was almost like the old C2C days.  The following night was some guest droning and ranting about some kind of conspiracy.  I don't think I lasted 5 minutes before hitting the "off" button.

He's very petty and mean-spirited.  What kind of man goes on national radio and brags about his charitable donations?  He was also keen to tell everyone how he had met up with an old Navy buddy and so generously gave him money because the guy was broke.  I'm sure his buddy felt really good about himself after having his money woes shared with the world -- if the story was even true.   >:( It's all about keeping up appearances and making everyone think he's a good guy.  However, anyone with half a brain can see right though him.

Good grief.  Less than 3 minutes in to Jorch's suckalogue and already this... "... the suffering caused by identify theft is...".

Obviously, tonight's show will be another classic.

Kevin Mitnick: Perfectly clear explanation of how 2-factor authentication can help reduce credit card fraud.

Jorch: "But how will we buy anything without credit card numbers?"

Kevin Mitnick: Has to re-explain his previous explanation for someone with the IQ of a pizza roll.

Did he basically just say he wasn't sure if foreigners could be trusted and then put on an Indian accent? Wow, just wow.

Dammit! LMH comes out of the gate with a cool topic (50K-year-old underwater forest) but why does her delivery sound like she's reading with her index finger. Yet her guest always sounds so relaxed and polished. Will she ever learn to harness that style?

what a douche.

Here's a rough exchange I just heard.  My brain isn't good enough to remember the details

Caller:  What do you think of <...>?   [obviously not finished with his thought]
LMH:  I would be very interested if you could send me the information.  Could you please tell me more about the object?
Noory:  He's gone.  He hung up.
LMH:  Oh. [Extremely skeptical]
...dead air....
Noory:  Oh!  He's back!
LMH:  Caller are you still there?
Caller:  Yeah I'm still here.

Noory as usual lying to us about a caller hanging up.
