I guess it is about time to straighten a few things out. I had no input or voice into the choice of George Noory as Host...none. He recently, after Dark Matter was announced dropped my name from mention then he says put it back because it was the right thing to do, nonsense, he did it so he could stop open line callers from being cut off because they kept trying to mention my new show. That is why he announced it. I wanted my name dropped from the show as well as my Saturday shows stopped to be blunt because I hated the direction the show had taken and no longer wanted to be associated with it. George is I am sure a nice guy BUT he has become lazy and does not pay attention. I am sorry to be so blunt but that's how I feel. I hope what little competition I can provide will cause him to up his game.

Art is one of us, living in the basement of his mother's mud hut stealing electricity from neighbors.  A hater and low life.  Doesn't he know George has a system and has been tweaking the show for the new listeners. 

Or that Julie Talbott, President of Content and Affiliate Services for National Media Groups, Clear Channel Media and Entertainment said "yhe continued growth and success of Coast to Coast AM is a testament to George's incredible talent and dedication," and stated "each year, George takes Coast to Coast AM to new heights, and we couldn't be happier to extend our partnership with him for years to come."

Or that George 'get's it'.

I'm beginning to wonder whether gn's use of Malaprop and misnomers has become deliberately utilized to endear himself to the few, remaining listeners.  He can't be that defiantly ignorant . . . can he???

Great photo ItsOver!  That P90X is really workin' for Dave.  However, he is really looking like a cartoon these days... it is like a bobble head from Hell.  A 65-year-old head, and a thirty-year-old body - just call him FrankenDave.

The radio I bought for my dad didn't work out so well for him so it bounced back to me. Great luck as it turns out cuz my bedroom has clear view of southern sky.   Purr-fect for satellite antennae.  I really liked the free trial in the car, Grateful Dead station was fun.  I'm hoping for some old school FM rock station with maybe Little Feat, Dan Hicks, any San Francisco sound, UK sound ... So much yummy sound goodness.  Maybe Wells could put on a show cuz he finds good stuff.

Art Bell's latest facebook post about Noory last night has now turned into a mini Noory Sucks comments thread over at Art's facebook page.
There are additional short comments by Art and hundreds by many listeners there today.
Here is just a small sample of some of the latest comments there:

Zandra Devereux:   Art, your sincere comments make me feel so vindicated for what I've said for so long. One other thing I would add, though, is that Noory is NOT a nice man. I know everyone feels obligated to say that, but he is as phony as a $3 bill with his smarmy "niceness." We're all counting the days til Sept. 16th! Yea!!!!!!!!

Richard Jensen:   Art, I'm not sure you will comment on this, but, it's been bothering for so long, about George and his speech, for someone who is a broadcaster, his speech can make listening to him very difficult. I think he has a speech impediment or something similiar, gee I don't like to talk about others much or criticize people, I kind of think George has some sort of physical or mental problem. I hope I'm off base with this.Have you noticed how he mumbles and can't be understood and asks a question about something the guest just explained a few mintues before? I do a lot of head slapping listening to him. I'm developing a sore spot on my forehead. If you have no comment I understand, maybe someone else does. Good luck and I'll be listening.

Judy Durns:   I don't want to be mean, but, he makes me crazy ! He has a thing about "evil". I don't care if the guest is talking about making pickles, he will ask if they think pickles are "evil". He tells the same personal stories over and over again and everything is "a classic". He's just not very bright ! Many things go right over his head. I'm so glad that you're coming back !!! I've been listening to your old broadcasts on You Tube lately.

Ever Seekinghome:   I noticed a few years ago that something in George changed on the air. He seemed "different". Reminded me of the pod people in the Body Snatchers.
My first thought was, "They got to him", then as I paid more attention, I realized two things: #1 he had to follow whatever direction he was given as far as what he promotes on the air, and #2 he seemed increasingly detached from his questions and replies. His "interesting" and his "fascinating" have become automatic and out of context when he replies to guests as he jumps into questions that seem to be not only his own, but half baked.
He just does not seem the same, and I pin the change to have taken place around the 2010 mark.
Yeah, Art....it IS disgusting to hear callers get dropped at the mention of your show and the flip flopping of mentioning you on the air as if he HAD to, not wanted to...that alone sealed the last nail on the coffin for me on C2C. I will cancel my coast insider membership just as you go live.
I hate to say it, but Coast to Coast has become Coast is Toast. I hope you get the voice guy to work for you.


Dan Huling:  Georgie IS lazy.. I stopped listening to him before 2010.. it was like he had a sheet of paper with questions his do-boys wrote down to ask a guest, and he would run down them, then go "how fascinating" or some such thing.. and moved on.. He cannot think on his 'feet' like you can Art. THAT is the sign of a true genius. you rock, and can flow with the guests or callers on the fly, and its amazing to listen to. Can't wait to hear the master back where he belongs!!


Vicki Parker:  You all are so right. I noticed a long time ago that George only listens when his guest is a well known celebrity. After they're on the show he name drops like they are best friends. Actually, he name drops all the time. He's like a big groupie.


Jerry Camerlengo:  GN has been disconnected and lost for many years. I have noticed since Dark Matter was announced, you can hear him trying to ask more engaging questions, but it just doesn't come across. You just have to laugh.
