Nothing actually defamatory.  (The only time this came up for me was when someone accused Art of a perversion and crime that even most criminals would find disturbing)

If your intent is obviously humor, or clearly an opinion, it's likely safe. 

So "George Noory Eats Babies" is an example of HUMOR - a lot of it is context.

"George Noory was defrocked for fucking choir boys" - stated as a fact - is defamatory.

"Let's trade Snoory for Bin Laden" is humor (how could we DO that?? - it's obviously absurd)

"I have a plan to so badly break Noory's jaw he'll have to retire from talk - PM me if you're in"   May be a problem - if it coud be taken seriously and inspire people to actually try something so dumb.

None of us are lawyers.  It's all a judgment call. AND - it's not an easy one. We tend to err on the side of letting things go than being to strict.   As I said - any edits are RARE - banning rarer still.

Again - note the CONTEXT issue - I've just said things that - if posted seriously - would be edited.  BUT - it's obvious I am just giving examples.

Stay away from really pornographic pictures - and don't suggest anyting illegal or what most woud find immoral (as well as illegal - like the chior boy thing) in a serious way - and you're safe.  Even if you fuck up in someone's jusdgement - the edit will explain what happened.

I don't know of anyone who has ever been banned outright - but then, I'm not the one who woud do that.  I'd refer it to a higher authroity. (something wich, BTW - I've never done)

The only exception to all of this is one thread I started.  I wanted one place where people coud say what they liked (positive) about Ian wihotut getting bown off the board by the sheer volume of people who DON'T like him.  But - the worst thing that can happen there is that if somene cames in and says "Ian Punnet Suckes Zebra Balls and you are an ass for starting this thread" is that I'd move it to it's "sister thread" (they are clearly marked "Pro Punnet" and "Not Pro Punnet" When you came back to look for your post - you'd se a notice that said "this post has been moved to  . . " and a link.  You can even cut and paaste from one thread to disput it in the other.  AND - the only reason the two threads exist is becuase I am a fan Of the Dispsy Deacon - and was getting sick of not just Ian bashing, but Christain Bashing as well.  So - I set it up so that people coud bash away - but there woud be one place where those who had something good to say could say it in peace.

I think I saw the TOS when I registered this morning. Also, I think the TOS is fair but a tad oppressive. I mean... being afraid of lawsuits is pansy behavior.

I use Adobe Audition, which has multitrack capability - I also have a huge collection of sound effects - a ton from TV shows, as well as professional sounds from Lucasfilm Studios and Sony Pictures (again - all available on the 'net).
