I hear some version of this all the time.  Blah...blah...blah.
Every point you make is right wing nonsense; every one.  Bush and you conservative cheer leaders set the US on a course for a generation of war or more in the ME and likely terror attacks at home.  He helped his patrons loot the world.  I won't go into who was on watch on 9/11/01.  Or who backed the actual attack.  ISIS is the direct and immediate product of Bush banning Baathists from the Iraqi Army and civil administration, and setting up a Shiite, Iranian ally govt. that virtually segregated Iraqi Sunnis. As for Israel, you have it exactly backwards and Bibi is shitting in the US' hat for Likud politics...again.   You're so blind you need a white cane.  And you forgot Benghazi.

I know it is hard to believe but....Bush hasn't been in office in quite some time. At what point will Obama, or more properly you Obama adherents, recognize that now we have to deal with Obama's policies? When, if, Billary wins will it then be "Obama's problems" or still Bush's? Is there some kind of sliding scale? Sure, Presidents, Congress, and ultimately us inherent situations and problems and politicans can't fix things quickly. (Indeed the problem, primarily of the leftist types, is not recognizing that government can't solve everything, especially immediately, but considering the years of Obama control and Democratic control it should be all Golden now, right? Or is the "it's Bush" just an indefinite excuse for everything, forever?

No, no, no, they're all the same.  Obama would have done exactly what Bush did had he been in office during those years.  Or so Catsmile and the rest would have us believe,

Oh wait, no they wouldn't.  They weren't saying "it's ok that Bush is doing all this - Gore and Kerry would be doing the same had they gotten the job".  Nope, didn't hear them saying that at all.

Seriously though, Bush II's attack on Iraq was very likely the worst foreign policy blunder in the history of the United States.  Obama would not have done it.  No other President to date would have done it.  I should have included that in my earlier post of differences.

And no, I didn't forget Benghazi.  That almost had to be the HQ for running guns to our (but not Obama's) enemies in Syria, Libya, and the Maghreb, among other places, which I mentioned.

I have seldom seen the president's bootlickers hold him accountable for anything.

It's always someone else's fault with this guy, and yet they sarcastically push the meme that melting ice cream and a pebble in one's shoe are Obama's fault.

Obama failed because he couldn't reach the people. Six years in and we are weaker than ever, while our enemies openly laugh at us. Maybe next time we will elect someone with some real world experience and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving. Doubtful, though.

Catsmile

2 different people would do different things, very possible.
I've been schooled. Because Conservatism.
I need to be a Conservative, they've became prescient.

Oh yeah! THANKS OBAMA!

... Obama failed because he couldn't reach the people...

He failed because he's a Marxist, has a tin ear for Muslim terror, doesn't understand what made America great, his world view is wrong, he stews in resentment, and he's a far-Left ideologue who doesn't have the skills, desire, or experience to work with anyone who doesn't agree with him on every single issue.

The people he surrounds himself with are grotesque - Wright, Ayers, Khalidy, Valery Jarrett, Michelle, Sharpton, CAIR, Axlerod, Plouffe, Jeh Johnson, Holder, John Kerry, Susan Rice, Kathleen Sibelius, the remnants of Acorn, a small army of boot-lickers like Van Jones and Lois Lerner, now this Loretta Lynch disaster, on and on.  How could any of his policies possibly be right for this country with people like that at his side?

His narcissism and whatever other psychiatric issues he has don't help

Well, thanks for demonstrating how ignorant a person has to be to continue supporting Dear Leader.

Ok, forget all the details- you're not interested in any of that anyway, and I can see why.  Look at the big picture - when Bush II left office that part of the world was in pretty good shape.  Where problems existed, they were on the right track, or at least contained.

Look at it now.  Just look.  A complete disaster from one end to the other.  Much of it due to this President's actions or inactions.

One could say the same for the trouble spots in much of the rest of the world.

But it's all ''nonsense''.  Oh, ok.  I'm still waiting for someone to post a list of Obama's (positive) accomplishments.  Or Hilary's.  Or John Kerry's.  Or those of anyone connected to this clown

Quote from: Paper*Boy on February 13, 2015, 08:14:07 PM
He failed because he's a Marxist...
Got any actual facts to back this up?  Not conjecture, or pointing to people he has associated with, or vague innuendo, but any concrete facts of things he has done as the lawfully elected POTUS, that are examples of Marxism?  Any industries that have been nationalized, any policies that restore the means of production to the people?

Do you even know what Marxism really is, or is your understanding limited to talking points from far right media outlets?

Six years to clean up Bush's Augean stables??  Where'd "this character" claim to be magician?  It's been 75 years but Munich still belongs to Chamberlain.  It's been 35 years since the Iranian Embassy, but Carter still owns the Hostage Crisis.  The ongoing Great Middle Class Killing Recession + coming decades of war will belong to Bush forever, and be our children's millstone for decades to come.  And don't forget who looked in Putin's eyes and saw his soul.

Kerry was Heinz? Right?  Bush was Hunt's?

nefermynd...  I was actually here to note that I still haven't heard a 'reasonable' explanation as to why the Marines surrendered(gave up/left/abandoned/&et al) their weapons in Yemen.

Apparently, among Marines this seems to be a historical first.  Knowing Marines, they don't appreciate historical firsts unless they involve winning.  Nefermind...

I just wonder what the time-line vis-à-vis Obama's speech and the incident in question was?  Anyone?  Same day at least...  COiNtell?  Bah...

Obama is "the One" and lest we forget relations with Russia were "reset" by a magical button (which also was mistranslated and actually labeled peregruzka- "overcharge.") Or did you forget that bit of foreign policy mastery? An interesting take here on that piece of bizarre Obama history:
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/04/05/magazine/05wwln-safire-t.html?_r=0
And who can forget Obama's precious rebels and Arab Springers who now Obama wants to fight, after ignoring ISIS for several months while his rebels take territory and massacre people? Now McCain and Obama, once champions of Sunni rebels and Springers, are all about having a new war against them. Easier now that they have grown and have our weapons, of course.

Deal with real events, not your imposed nuance and spin, and your paranoia may clear up. You always want things both ways.  You remind of the dove that keeps trying to fly through my window glass because it sees a reflection and can't separate an illusion from reality.

How would Obama not making this have helped, do you think?

Should all Presidential activities stop in case they conflict with ISIS' beheading schedule?

You consider Obama, or more specifically this, presidential?

I'm really not interested in getting into a "Lefties" argument, you're a Right Winger, I get it... reiteration of flaws in the Democrats is unnecessary for my benefit, I assure you.

The point I'm making is that social media is a crucial tool for any politician, celebrity...

What other head of state is busy taking selfies and making gag reels as the world burns?

Instead of making a video, he should have been asking an astrologer what to do about Isis.  That's what Reagan would have done.

Reagan never went to an astrologer.  Don't forgot though that Hilliary channels Eleanor Roosevelt.  End Roosevelt-Talk.

Wow, sounds like a party man! If all these pimps and hoes ever assembled simultaneously (I guess they did for a couple of inaugurations) you wouldn't be able to find any available booze, whippits, or butt plugs on store shelves for blocks in each direction.

For some reason I imagine the frequent White House shindigs like the "Player's Ball" scene from Doctor Detroit. Which would be cool and at least my tax-dollars put to fun use. But then I see Obama riding girl's bikes on vacation and his over-bearing, mannish wife and figure the parties are probably not that fun and Michelle makes him go to bed early while she parties on with her friends.

You left out Obama's recent meeting with members of the Muslim Brotherhood.  Does anyone realize that the Muslim Brotherhood’s motto is: “Allah is our objective. The Prophet is our leader. Qur’an is our law. Jihad is our way. Dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope.”  Why the hell is anyone from that group strolling around our White House?

The meeting probably went more like this:
Obama: "Asalaam Alaykum"
Muslim Brotherhood guy: "Wa ’Alaykum Asalaam"
And then the conversation likely went on about how best to help Islam in its war against the West and against Shites and religious minorities in the area. Likely also some advice was given with regard with how best to exploit the open-border to the Great Satan (and amnesty or government assistance radical Muslims could expect) and what funding and political influence Obama, and his henchmen, are using to influence the evil devil-jew Israeli elections.

Interestingly, many Islamic scholars and writers say that non-Muslims should not use this greeting to Muslims (though you will hear many people do this, including politicians) but it should only be used between Muslims.

A couple of weeks after 9/11 I remember watching a new commercial on TV that had a lot of the major movie actors at the time.  At first I thought it was going to be a thoughtful statement of sorrow and solidarity with the victims' families.  Hell no.  One ass-wipe actor after another began warning against hurting Muslims' feelings and how terrible it is that Muslims' might be offended by something.

It is the modern "Liberal" mind-set - a permanent beta-male, roll over and show your belly self-destructive philosophy.  We had just lost over 3000 innocent lives and ignorant idiots in Hollywood stumble over each other to "protect the Muslims".  Really insulting to the majority of Americans, and an insult against the founding principles of this country.

Since its dumbing down by Murdock and tiny handful of radio rabble-rousers, American conservative reality has become a framework of easy-on-the-brain cliches.  Hollywood doesn't represent liberals any more than fundie bible-thumpers represent conservatives.  Both are near the far ends of the spectrum.
