The Social Security Act.   Yeah, lets everybody count on our SSI.  Thanks for nothing!**
Not sure I can argue with your visceral emotion, considering what it has become.

There are unions/groups scattered throughout the country, People who work for DISD (Dallas) are one, that are excluded from paying into SSI.  Money that would go to SSI is set aside into a private fund.  These people do better on retirement by orders of magnitude.

SSI will be bankrupt in the next generation unless we get an influx of new people paying into the system. Say illegals?  Even then its just kicking the Ponzi can down the road a bit.

What illegals?  You called it, future taxpayers, is what congress sees them as.

Obama really rubs it in to the American people by using his ill-gotten gains to purchase one of the most iconic properties in our collective conscious. Yes, he according to the speculation in the neighborhood is buying the "Robin Masters Estate" from the great television show Magnum,P.I.!
http://khon2.com/2015/03/17/sale-of-magnum-p-i-home-may-be-tied-to-president-obama/

According to one person, who refused to give us his name but spoke with an English accent, he is moving out of the area- but denies it is "white flight" but simply fears for his life due to Obama's Mau-Mau connection due to his former service in the King's African Rifles in Kenya. He also mentioned his service in Burma in a long-winded story before the reporter managed to get him back on track. The short, rotund man further pointed out, and a mustachioed man carrying a surf-ski nearby confirmed, that "there is no racism- even T.C. was allowed to land his helicopter here." Though the mustachioed man muttered "only on occasion and I had to give up the wine-cellar each time" and proceeded to cock-and-lock his .45 and said "he was ready if the Mau-Mau apologist wants to start something. We have beaten them back before." The Englishman mentioned something about Episode 56 as he walk away with two snarling dobermans. The bronzed, mustachioed man left with the comments "that although he is ready- he has heard from his friend Rick, via his associate "IcePick," who has mob connections in Chicago, that Obama, despite his shady Chicago connections, has no desire for trouble but he has asked about the steam-rooms, frequented by "Ice Pick," and if they will also accept "body-men" and what kind of "action" is available there."

Thanks, I was going to add something about the story-line about Robin Masters being not real and Higgins wrote the books- or at least ghost-wrote them (since that is what many experts claim about this character Obama's books) but decided I was long-winded enough and some people might have never seen the great tv show and didn't know that plot.

In any event, it is funny how this guy Obama (or whatever name he is using this decade), who claims as his only job experience "organizing" and politics in Chicago, returns there infrequently and seems will retire to Hawaii- as far away from the hell-hole of crime and corruption that gained him his ill gotten gains and furthered his political career.

Even 80's crime shows couldn't come up with such a confused, and frankly bizarre, plot if one looks at his upbringing, associates, family, and history (that which we are allowed to be aware of at least.) It far, far outweighs anything someone could dream up! I would imagine even his most hardcore Hollywood adherents reading a plot like one similar to Obama's(sic) life would throw it in the trash as unbelievable! A biracial guy raised by a step-father in a Muslim country by a cross-dressing nanny, but also attending later elite private schools being mentored by a communist pornographer, who has no public records about him except autobiographies in which he describes his drug usage and problems with white people (including his own grandmother), is elected President, despite statements and clear animosity to the country and connections to the most corrupt city/state politics in the nation, twice! "Too incredible, television or movie audience won't buy it (even if we CGI Michelle to make her look like a woman ;)") they would say!

Obama was a part time law professor (part time because he was also a state senator, the university asked him to work fulltime) and also a law firm counsel.

In contrast, Scott Walker never had a long term real job in his life, aside from jobs that young people get while working through university, before quitting university under mysterious circumstances to take on a job that he left after a few months to run for the Wisconsin State House.

Any affirmative action or political connections aside, since we will never likely know about any questionable funding or affirmative action in his storied, but somewhat mysterious, academic career, I want to see the billable hours statements and what cases he worked on or argued. At least the public records (I can imagine Davis, Miner, Barnhill & Galland might be not willing to release them.) And also, the syllabi and class notes from his teaching as a professor as well as all minutes from the faculty meetings that resulted in him being hired or retained (though again due to the private nature of his chosen school they will likely not release any of that information.) But maybe since we aren't allowed to see HIS personal academic records maybe UofChicago Law will let us at least see ones when he was teaching?

Obama was the general counsel to the law firm, meaning he advised them on cases, he didn't argue cases and probably didn't bill his hours.

"Of Counsel", I think more likely. I've known a few. Often drunks, hahaha, but with good political, family, or business connections or retired guys who have same. They sort of "grease the wheels" and "find clients" etc. I'm not knocking it. A good job if you can get it because you can also, usually, do other legal work on the side, if you wish, and have less pressure to "bill" for the firm (or work like hell trying to make partner.) The firm though also has a "distance" from you if anything gets awkward and they can be sort of a "cut out man" for deals.

Obama was never a professor, he was a lecturer.  I suspect that is a fancy name for 'political payoff'

Because why would you have someone lecturer on the Constitution who know absolutely nothing about it?

Oh, Obama knows the Constitution inside and out.  He knows our system in detail.  Or at least the people coming up with his various schemes do.

He knows where it is weak and can be attacked.  He knows just where to go around it, where to undermine it.  He understands the slow nature of the working of a Congress and of a Court system.

A few examples:  Senators of both parties used to jealously guard the Senate's role and powers, even against Presidents of their own party.  Obama managed to convince Harry Reid to abandon all that and instead function as an arm of the White House, and for the rest of the D's to go along.  Obama knows there isn't going to be a conviction in the Senate (lack of votes), regardless of what he's done, were he to be impeached by the House.

He knows if Congress tries to block him in court it takes years for a case to reach it's end and the issue will have been decided and put into effect long before - and that's IF the Court even takes on the case.  He knows nothing will happen when he ignores a court ruling.

He knows much of the law is written by the bureaucracy - the regulations that are supposed to go hand in glove with the related legislation, but now go well beyond that.  He knows he can abuse Executive Orders and Executive Privilege.  He knows he can get away with ignoring laws he doesn't like.  He now knows nothing will be done if he simply bypasses Congress and dictates new law.  Watch for him to use the recess appointment power to put this Loretta Lynch in as Attorney General if she doesn't get a vote on the Senate floor - which is supposed to be a tool to allow the government to function, not to evade the Senate's advise and consent role.

That's the short list

Quite the contrary, Obama understands much.

The very sad part of all this is people - like one poster here - who, instead of opposing this destruction of our Constitution, instead of opposing this destruction of our government, instead of opposing this tyranny - as an American - he goes right along with all of it, excusing it by telling us Obama is simply 'testing the limits to his power' or whatever term he used.  Pathetic.

Then there are the other factors allowing this at this particular time in history:  a media who cater to him and his party, and are willing to lie or do whatever is necessary to promote their and his agendas.   The weak and stupid leadership of the Republican Party in DC, power hungry, not standing for much of anything, willing to go along with anything as long as it furthers each of them personally - while at the same time pretending they oppose Obama when back home at election time.

Yes, Obama understands much

Yep, some of the media would have you believe that he is simply incompetent or circumstances have arisen that, through no fault of his own, overwhelmed him. Whereas you are actually correct. He is no an idiot or simply an incompetent rube that gained much power due to affirmative action etc. (Though clearly this helped him get elected because most voters don't pay attention to details- like what his goals, motivations, and views really are.) He knows the system and knows the country, he just simply wants to destroy 'fundamentally change' it.
