Is it your argument that every single president, congressman, senator, and supreme court justice, and all of the aforementioned support staff, is in on the scam, and they're all keeping the secret from us so we don't catch on?

Do you think Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz is in on the scam too?

Do you think Ted Cruz knows about all the stuff in the video and he's just keeping quiet about it?

Truth be told, I like a lot of his movies but have never given him much thought otherwise. I just think it's funny that his tax situation bugs you so much and that you're attempting to attach some deep political significance to it.

I think those who go around advocating higher taxes should at least pay theirs.  Especially the wealthy ones.

And Redford is far from the only one.

Not even close.  Redford stands alone when it comes to committing atrocities against humanity.  And I was only 14. I was just big for my age.  May your camel toe be plagued by an ingrown nail.
So Robert Redford is worse than Hitler?  Fascinating.

Much worse, although his methods are considerably subtler.

Damn. You've invoked Godwin's law. The thread is now closed. :'(

I believe that if you embrace liberal philosophies you should voluntarily pay more than your fair share of taxes, to set a positive example...
I believe that if you embrace conservative philosophies you should voluntarily recuse yourself from accepting any government services or benefits, to set a positive example...

Only on the day you are not forced to pay into them.

Ayn Rand was pretty critical of Social Security until she sought treatment for lung cancer.  Then she promptly shut her mouth and signed up.  Hypocrite.

Oh, so you oppose these benefits but, what the hey, if you paid in then philosophy be damned, right?  Hypocrite.

If i am forced to overpay for something I am going to use it.  I'd be a hypocrite if I didn't pay into the system and demand benefits.

The Barry Obama Recovery Summer is in full effect!

Wages are DOWN 23% under Dear Leader:

Caesar Obamas was not available for comment, as he is on the golf course. The world burns; Barry golfs.

Here`s another big tip`o da hat to you brain-dead Obama voters ;)

Now all you have to do is agree to stop extorting money from the pockets of people that would be HAPPY to oblige your wish! Why don't you communist despots try an experiment -- agree that only liberals will pay into and use the "government services" you worship, and leave rational Americans like me, out of it?

I can hear that 60's throw-back liberal-whine already...

Hmm. Wish I'd made my "Sierra Madre" point over here. I won't retype it except to say, you don't live in a vacuum.
Truth is, you're so dishonest you'd make a big gesture out of not paying but would crawl to it as soon as you were eligible.

Then why bother grousing about it? What kind of society do you think we'd have if we didn't offer some structure?

Structure is fine.  ( I assume that you are speaking to the nation's infrastructure ) But what we have is shit.  Mis-managed, overpriced, corrupt... take you pick.  Our government quit working for us a long time ago.

I agree our government went wayward on us (in my opinion with the formation of the CIA and NSA and LBJ's desire for power).
While I did partially mean infrastructure, I also meant social contract.  We set up a pact in this nation; get some kind of education, obtain a skill, work hard, try to raise your family right, when you're old we won't cast you aside.
If you lose you job or cannot work, we won't leave you on an ice flow. When you're old and infirm, having put decades into building this nation, rest easy and be cared for so you can see your succeeding generations build upon the foundation you laid out.
I understand the "system" is corrupted, fatted up by unscrupulous cost overruns and diverted funds, but the idea is sound.  It's part of what makes our country great and should be preserved.

Like Redford does anything but say "Well, you're the CPUSA...is this where I sign?" in regard to his tax arrangements.

Fixed it for ya'!

Yet another example the 'Progressives' that have seized the Democrat Party are not the same as Liberals.

The Liberals for the most part truly support free speech.  The 'Progressive' Left and the rest of America's enemies use our freedoms against us.

As Lenin said, at least as purported, "The Capitalists will sell us the rope with which we will hang them." Though, in reality, is it usually our natural tolerance, our laws, our belief in people can change, our open borders, etc against us. There is a Fifth Column already here, some motivated by honest belief and might not recognize what they are doing. Others who do. And others who are outright foreign agents. Whole organizations are dedicated to this, even like the much vaunted ACLU, that whilst good in many cases, so oddly never defends the 2nd Amendment when defending our rights and, likely, only defends people, like some Christian saying a prayer before a football game, to advance a more nefarious agenda.

Yeah, the second amendment is in danger. The NRA has spent more than 80 million dollars in lobbying over the last decade. Somehow, I don't think the ACLU is needed to defend gun ownership.

The ACLU even went to the aid of Rush Limbaugh for his drug usage.

Nefarious... yeah, ok.

And neither is drug abuse or free speech in any danger (or even a local of oddballs who hate things like not letting their child, going to a public school, giving a symbol of allegiance to the country.) Fine, I'm all for that. But they are disingenuous because they pick cases, pick cases to fully support, and only support certain rights (and in only cases in which they target: they claim so they can win, but also, could be argued, because it helps another agenda.) And, of course, they have to pay no taxes being a "non-profit." There are other organizations and even lawyers who are better and don't have the sordid history or, possibly, alternative agenda besides representing their clients interest. "Communism, of course, is the goal." (though they did distance themselves from their prominent founder in the 50's. Interesting during the Red Scare. So much for standing up to people!)

Quick Karl

Yet no one can ever see the blatant hypocrisy behind the maniacal attack on the second amendment or the zealous-religiouslike defense of the first amendment, so long as you think and speak the way the left dictates that you think and speak...

Consider for a moment, the Charles Manson-like lunacy behind a person that has themselves convinced that they are more intelligent than the people that disagree with them, politically and philosophically, just by the fact that they disagree...

Those are the people that will harm us, so a society, most.

Obama has zero foreign policy experience.  His stated reason for choosing the dumbest man in the Senate as his running mate was because of Joe Biden's 'experience' with foreign affairs.

The same Joe Biden who was sent to Iraq to get a status of forces agreement, but couldn't, or wouldn't (watching this video, it seems clear this Administration didn't want one and really just went through the motions).

Here's a clip of Biden from the 2012 election campaign attacking Mitt Romney, and showing his (Biden's) ignorance and incompetence on every single issue he mentions.  Which speaks to the ignorance and incompetence of the Administration as a whole on these topics.

Question:  have either Barrack Obama or Joe Biden ever been right about anything?  Answer:  No.

Isn't Joe Biden proof that you really CAN fool all of the morons all of the time? I'm not sure I can comprehend how any human could look in a mirror after voting for that buffoon without dropping dead from humiliation. It really makes one wonder what kind of people populate the State of Delaware - or is it that DuPont mega company fronting all the money to keep Uncle Joe around for special favors?

Nah, only Republican dirt-bag politicians do that...

Oh, one more thing - Joe Biden is a Roman Catholic.

Did you mean Joe Biden, perfesser?

And what conclusive assumption should we take from your comment that he's a Roman Catholic?   That he fucks little boys?  Surely not.  Dish, girlfriend.

Are we talking about the same Joe Biden?  The inexhaustible, indefatigable party animal who's banned for life from Dave and Buster's?

yeah that's really terrible how Obama wanted to end combat in Iraq and bring home our troops.  what was he thinking?  except maybe we should support our troops and spend our money on improving domestic infrastructure
