  I think Rotten.com and Mr.Skin were only sites I visited in 2000-2002.  :-[

  Cheers!

Must have missed out on "Mr.Skin"--- or is that still viable?!?   Wanna keep this short since this is the "things that annoy you" thread.  2000-2002 has been a long time.  Medical pathology can show you infinitely more.  Will say those shits letting off bottle rockets at 2am are pissing me off as well but not sure the legality in Massachusetts relates to the legality here in the south. Too bad I can't go out and raise hell in the neighborhood as I'd like to at this point.  Just about any firework China could sell us is legal at this point in my state, unfortunately.  :o  I truly do feel your pain.   >:(

Mr Skin became irrelevant when free sites offering the same content arrived. That schmuck is probably still charging 30 bucks a month.

Massachusetts has strictly enforced fireworks laws, including stopping cars coming back from New Hampshire...but like guns, for all the laws, the LCD assholes will still get their mitts on them. I used to set off M-80's too...then I turned 12.

When fireworks don't blow off some stupid motherfucker's hand.

back when i was a tow truck driver, i got called out about 1 am on july 5.  so i go and pick up a drunk drivers pickup truck out of a ditch (it was not drivable anymore), and im on my way back to the impound yard.  i crest a hill and theres a yellow glow off to the right , with flashing red lights.  i look , wait thats close to my house!

so i take the short detour and go by my house, the drunken moron(s) across the street decided to aim their  roman candles at the fence, setting it on fire.

now here if the fire is set by stupidity (such as aiming fireworks at a fence) and not accidental (your house burned down because of a faulty appliance), you pay for the fire dept to put it out. yep if you toss a ciggy out the window and start a wildfire, and they catch you, you are responsible for the costs of putting said fire out, along with any property damage that might occur.

When you are in the finals in a surf competition in South Africa and a pesky shark tries to attack you. This just happened to mick fanning.

Yeah, that's criminal stupidity to an extreme. Unfortunately, firework shooters seem to dominate the lowest strata of income, so the costs will ultimately be covered by the tax payer in the end. In that event, since financial punishments to these cretins are damn near impossible...it should be corporal punishment. Making them sit on a cherry bomb.

well if they have money for booze and fireworks, then they can forgo the booze and fireworks and pay what they owe. the price of being a dumbass.

The new google mapsite sucks. What a bunch of crap! They totally ruined a great mapping tool. It's slow, blocky and painfully slow.

I can't stand it any longer.

Anyone have a good alternative?

Glitchy internets, apps, etc. I want to listen to Art without blackouts and restarting of streams dammit.

Oh great, another wildfire in the area. Not too close to us but close enough for spotting planes and choppers to be in our airspace. Echoes of our own close brush with fire a month ago has the adrenaline rushing back again

300 lb crate gets dropped here today. i worked 10 hours. whats in the crate is on wheels. so i suggest uncrating  it and rolling it into the house. nope cant do that,we need to drag said crate into the house, through the house and into the living room, then uncrate it.  ::)

Dozing off before the show begins and waking up to hear Crystal Gayle singing Midnight.  TGFTT.

I am annoyed at an artist's impression of exoplanet Kepler 452b.

Until very recently, Pluto was just a group of pixels. It took a spacecraft traveling about 30K mph for 9.5 years for us to get close enough for people to get something they could confidently post on facebook while pretending to be interested in astronomy.

"Like"

Vomit.

Kepler 452b is 1,400 light years away.

What was it that Spock said to McCoy after Spock went all barbarian on us after after getting his Vulcan up for Mariette Hartley?

Get this through your head....

We will never know what Kepler 452b looks like.

NEVER. NEVER. NEVER. NEVER.

Frankly, I would rather see a courtroom sketch artist take a blind stab at it. The artist who created the image below grew up playing too many video games.

At least with the courtroom artist, we could try to reach a guilty or not guilty vibe based on the pressure and shading of Conté crayons used.

I like artists. But this wanton ~planet abuse~ has got to be stopped.

Do I sound like an unemployed courtroom sketch artist? That's neither here or nor there.

I am not bitter.

I am annoyed that this guy keeps pretending he's never read A Wrinkle In Time.

Seriously? Blah-blah-blah exoplanets? Yeah, okay, whatever.

If that had been the technique use to construct the Great Pyramid, we would still be making mummies from overly stressed builders - their drunken weekends fueled by Stella beer.... sitting around at the bar talking about how they wanted to be wrapped for the afterlife and how "we're not moving enough stone!"

And the pyramid would be at only 4% done!

Thank Horus they used anti-grav-tech back then.

well the crate moving was fueled by drunkenness. and not on my part. turns out hte part in the crate  was lighter than the crate itself (which was made out of 1/2" press board, dont ask me why) and the whole probably weighed some 200 lbs.

We would truly be riding with the gods here if it were revealed the drunkenness had been a result of drinking Stella.

I think I would have to hire myself out as a psychic instead of selling Masonic bibles door to door. (hard work, btw... Fundamental Baptists keep trying to set my car on fire.)

My laptop screen has a pixel wide line about an inch long spreading from the bottom of the screen. This is the third screen on this laptop since 2008...I don't want to chop it in because it has a big screen and a new one will involve a mortgage, oh and it will come with Windows 8, or 10 or 992 whichever it is this week.  >:(

I suppose I'll be fitting a new screen again.

I didn't know that they still made screens for monochromatic laptops.
