Well, if the lady in chaps knocks on my door, she can always **try** to make me play. We'll have to see what happens.
A little third person two-step there, I see.  Nice **try** big fella.  Chap you later (heh, heh, heh). ;)

Right, that's what you were trying to say but using the expression you did just confused things. I'm very open to someone new but, to me, Trump is someone old and familiar. And I don't mean that in a good way.

I know but I feel the same way about Hillary except she has a longer rap sheet with more serious charges on it, to me.

If you ever happen to be in jail and are, for some reason, asked who you prefer to share a cell with, you might have a pretty clear idea of who represents a more imminent threat. This situation is a little like that one.

No worries, my brother. I`m a conservative-libertarian-ish kind of guy. Which means, I usually vote GOP. BUT dammit, I`m TIRED of voting for the "lesser of two evils."  Trump is SUCH a pig, I cannot compromise my moral standards to vote for him. I simply wont do it...even if it means Hillary being elected.
Most of our presidents come into office with just a few million to their names, but when they leave office they have tens of millions.
The Congress are the only people who cannot be prosecuted for insider trading, which is why they leave more wealthy, and this probably includes the President.
I really think Trump has a lot less of a fortune than he would like us to believe and his goal in wanting the Presidency is leaving with a lot more money than he came in with.
I don't think he gives a hoot about the issues, which is why he keeps changing his views on the issues.
I think voters for Trump are being played.  They are well-intended, but being used by a con man.

You really like the alarmist metaphors, don't you? :D

But what about poor mothers? Won't someone, please, think of the children?!  :o

BYW, I thought about it and I'd choose Trump as my cellmate. If I chose Hillary I know I'd just end up being her bitch. Trump looks like he might be a cuddler though, and I like that kind of thing.  ;)

The same as mine. That is, let the states decide.

Well, of course, I agree...but what does this have to do with Donald Trump?!  ???

Oh...right...you're trying to put the idea in everyone's mind that if Trump is elected everything will go kaboom! Like I said, it worked for LBJ in '64 so I'm sure it will be successful for you and your candidate this year.   ;) :D

"The Doomsday Clock, a symbolic countdown to the world’s end, stands still at three minutes until midnight, scientists announced Tuesday. The clock remains at the closest it has pointed to mankind’s doom since 1984 amid the Cold War. The reasoning for its move there last year: rampant climate change and an ongoing threat of nuclear weapons.
“The probability of global catastrophe is very high,” Kennette Benedict, the Bulletin’s publisher at the time, said. “This is about the end of civilization as we know it." - USA Today Jan 2016

The neo-con devil who has a history and track record in foreign relations extremely flammable and delicate situations you know vs the temperamental, thin-skinned,  thoughtless, demagogue devil you don't know.

No, alarmist arguments are usually cheap and manipulative, without having much substance. Dramatic or colorful arguments, OTOH, can be effective ways of making an otherwise undramatic or unclear point.

I would like to know your plans to avoid that?  Cryogenics?  Melting eyeballs and liquefying organs is the end destination for each of us- nuclear war, or not... :)

Not sure when you plan on kicking off this mortal coil but I hope to have more than 4 more good years

Ok. I grant you nuclear war might be hyperbolic. But is always a possibility. It is a metaphor for as (((tiny donnie))) says ... really really bad things happening folks

Hey aldous. I got a few minutes reprieve and would like to address this issue. The "let the state's decide" policy is a fracking mess.  To name one. The legal pharmacies can not use federally protected (all) banks. Their assets are considered illegal, can be seized and the operators jailed. Federal law overrides state laws so at any time the Fed's can come into a legal state and throw everyone in the Federal Prison.

Something more than a policy that can fit on the front of a trucker cap is needed. And I know you don't want federal courts making these legislature decisions

That's a good point, TL.  Perhaps it would be best if the feds tossed away that sort of regulation if there is no uniformity or agreement among the states and feds. I don't believe that there should be uniformity on divisive issues.

Oh, simmer down, old-timer. Hell, every body knows Trump is crooked as a dog`s hind leg. Some folks -- like you -- don`t seem to mind. Some -- like those of us with a moral compass -- do mind. Simple as that.
Like I said, after a year of hard digging to find something substantial on Trump by every liberal and establishment outlet and GOP superPAC, the worst real offense found is the equivalent of littering even though the guy has had a public life for 40+ years and has a huge private business operation.  Are you ever going to deal with facts instead of innuendo and smear?

BTW, if you call Trump a crook, WTF do you call a career establishment politician who openly fleeced the nation out of $3B (minimum) so he could grandstand for a Presidential run by reading Dr. Seuss on the Senate floor.

How about the fact that Trump has been married to three beautiful women?  That's got to be ban in some circles, right?

You took the brains right out of my mouth.

Specifically TigerLily, I think the feds should stfu.

Economics and Commerce have to be consistent throughout the States.  I saw the clip were someone asked Trump out this. "*shoulder shrug* Let the state's decide. "  So dismissive not an iota of thought process.  More like "don't bother me"

No, it doesn't. Use, as an example of this (although there are many others) of something once banned: alcohol. In many places it is not even down to the State but even the city, county, or local municipality to regulate if it can be sold, and when, where, at what times, and in what manner. And how it is transported, produced, sold, taxed, etc on the distribution and retail market. Local is better than "top-down," Federally mandated solutions and alcohol is a great example where different States, Counties, and cities handle it in different manners (so 'best' solution can be found by experimentation with different laws or that the local populace is comfortable with their society.)
I suggest you read up on the 21st Amendment and various case law (it is changing, somewhat, like with advertising and out-of-state provisions as conflicts between "interstate commerce" comes into conflict with earlier rulings and the 21st.)

I think Trump has not a shred of altruism in him.  He does not care about the country or its people.  All he cares about is making more money and this is an opportunity for him.  It is no accident that Money is the theme song of his tv reality show.  He has made piddling charitable contributions if they are compared to the money that he SAYS he has.

I think his business strategy is to hire the  best people and let them do their jobs.  Well, the best people in the political arena want NOTHING to do with him.  We will, with him, get a similar situation as with W, with a Cheney and Rumsfeld.  If you liked the way that turned out, vote for Trump.

I think a Trump Presidency would be a huge mistake.  He would leave with much more wealth, but it would be at the country's expense.

Good grief. Please attempt to explain how the junior senator from TX somehow managed to "fleece the nation" out of billions of dollars.

*This should be entertaining lol*

Who are you to understand who the best person for the job is and they want nothing to do with Trump?

I mean most of the situation we are in has been done by career insider politicians.

Is there someone outside of the political sphere you are talking about?

I don't think running this country should be left to inept boobs and that would be what a Trump presidency would amount to.  Republicans do not wish to be associated with him.  I also believe this man's main interest is to build his coffers and to hell with the country.  He is not an altruistic man.  He's having troubles finding speakers for his damned convention because even George W will not speak there, and it is traditional for the last Pres. to speak at such things.

Maybe Cheney and Rumsfeld still have a shot?

Another weak deflection try.  Maybe your Alzheimer's blocks your memory of Cruz's 2013 Federal shutdown that cost $3B, by the lowest estimates, in pay to locked-out Federal workers and lost overhead costs.  Multiply it several times for the real cost. Most financial monitors put the cost to the economy of Cruz's LOOK-AT-ME! act at over $20 Billion. And this was barely three months into the self-worshiping prick's first-ever elected office.  Last week I thought I almost bumped into Rafael while walking our mutts. but it was a just a rattlesnake.
