I wonder if the finalists named in the media; Christy, Gingrich, Pense; are just a head fake.  Stiff-necked Cruzite Pense will end Trumps chance of winning.  Before Cruz, Pense was the most pompous asshole in Congress.  I think Gingrich could be a good pick on skills, but the MSM has already called a Trump-Gingrich ticket "The Six Wives Club".  Too bad Newt's last dalliance wasn't with a trannie, he'd be a shoo-in.  Christy is Tony Soprano; no one W of the Delaware will warm to him.

I don't think Pence does much for the ticket.  He turned off a lot of Christians by reversing his support of RFRA so his attraction to the religious right is negligible at best.  He is supposed to appeal to small government conservatives like me but I don't think he has the credentials or the backbone to fight the good fight.  I like Newt but I realize he is not the most charming person and would probably do little for the ticket.  He should have picked someone like Scott Walker.  He has a certain appeal.
