No.  The point I'm making is that Trump hysterics are acting as if she was brutally beaten and left bleeding in an alley; not momentarily grabbed to keep her distance from a candidate.
As opposed to Trump apologists who think she was surreptitiously trying to record Trump using a hidden microphone, when the smartphone in her hand would serve that purpose quite nicely?  Or that she lied, when in fact, Trump and his campaign lied repeatedly, and on record?

Being equal includes all accredited and embedded journalists being assaulted then?

Do you think any other person trying to run up on a person of Trump's standing wouldn't be handled the same way? Seems like equality to me except if she was a man she would have been taken to the ground and led off in handcuffs.

There was no assault...the prosecutor is a biased Clinton ally...that is the only reason this has gotten so far...

I'm genuinely disappointed this retarded story is leading in the anti-Trump camps this news cycle. You people are supposed to be smarter than this.

So what? You're bitching about how someone affiliated with the campaign handling some entitled mad woman who felt she was important enough to violate a Presidential candidate's security procedure?

Which procedure was this? And to suggest she may feel entitled and ignore Trump who thinks he's the supreme being is frankly laughable.

This isn't even about Trump. This is about some person trying to get as much attention for themselves being a victim of their own stupidity.

Nope.. It isn't. It's about Trump using his goons to do whatever he wants. His advocation for violence on others isn't new.

This is the best thing anti-Trump people can come up with to be offended about this news cycle? lol.

What could Trump say or do that would put you off him?

Quote
If this was Obama, a Saudi Arabian sheik or a gangster rapper this wouldn't even be a story.

Oh but it would..Trump would make sure of it.

No, it is about the consistent and unrelenting pattern of lies from Trump and all who surround him.  They have a pathological aversion to the truth.

Fact:  Fields was grabbed.
Fact:  Another journalist reported on the events first.
Fact:  Fields and Brietbart demanded an apology.
Fact:  Trump and his staff lied about the event, and refused to apologize.
Fact:  A Trump spokesperson said "go to the authorities".
Fact:  Trump campaign and supporters lose their shit when caught in their lies.

Yes it is assault. The unwelcome bruisung of an individual by another is assault. That is the law. I'm sure you'd think differently if it was your wife/mother/ sister.

In this lady's head she thought she could wander past Trump's security detail, secret service, and people to start screeching about whatever bullshit was in her head. That's the height of being entitled.

QuoteNope.. It isn't. It's about Trump using his goons to do whatever he wants. His advocation for violence on others isn't new.

Hahaha, yeah he said to his people right before entitled lady ran up, hey put your hands on her because... why exactly? And yeah if you're going to do whatever you want, I guess lightly touching a female journalist will gain a lot...

QuoteWhat could Trump say or do that would put you off him?

Something illogical or against my beliefs.

This is just a retarded echo chamber from people who got nothing real to complain about.

You guys are entitled to believe whatever you want to believe and say whatever you want. But come on, think. Come up with better criticism than this.

Some things are self evident. I had to put hands on people many times to manage out of control behavior, I never bruised anyone.

Of course you can deflect someone directing an action from behind. It is called an open block. That isn't what happened. Now that I am informed the guy was a "body" man, he should he held to an even higher standard.

Now it seems you are guilty of reading someone's mind in the same manner you accuse me.

Fields' actual bruise:

Fields' bruise as seen by Stop Trumpers:

You said that the bruising was intentional.  Ergo, you apparently know he was thinking, not to impede her, but to hurt her.   So according to your remark, it was not only improper, but violent aggression. Nah, you're not over reacting.  The bruise was barely perceptible; one of those "gee, where'd I get that" bruises for normal people.

Had it been any other candidates staffer, the media would focused, not on Lewandowski but on Fields' rep as an political ambush artist. I think Trump will give in to the full time tag-team attacks and drop out by June. The relentless distortions are shameless.

I never said I didn't care for her...anyway, I don't think it is assault...and if it went to court she would lose...

There's got to be at least one Trump beating up on the womenz story per cycle to unconsciously prep people for Hilary. We've now degenerated to the point where saying You're Beautiful is sexual assault and being restrained from trying to push your way unauthorized to within arm's reach of a Presidential candidate is assault and battery.

Trump's proposed policies and tax plans must be fucking GOLDEN if this is the best the left can come up with.

You may be right, I may be over reacting, as you may be as well from the other side of the issue. That's fine.

What I can tell you is, any bruise caused by someone grabbing another is battery. There may well be justifiable reasons for grabbing another. But there doesn't seem to be a justifiable reason for grabbing Fields. To the point of bruising, as slight as they might seem, they demonstrate fingers in a clutching manner, finger points only. Where as the picture of the large bruises you present as how some see the bruise is from some form of pressure over a larger area certainly not a hand grab.

I always use the grandmother approach to issues of potential harm. In this case, would I in any situation believe my grandmother deserved even a slight bruise? Battery, even as a misdemeanor is battery and in most situations, completely unacceptable.

Here I'll even help you guys.

Quote“I am pro-life,” Trump said. Asked how a ban would actually work, Trump said, “Well, you go back to a position like they had where they would perhaps go to illegal places but we have to ban it,” Trump said.

He said “we have to ban” abortion even if we “go back to a position like they had where they would perhaps go to illegal places.”

“There has to be some form of punishment,” Trump said. “For the woman?” Matthews asked. “Yeah,” Trump said, nodding.

That is a fucked up and frightening thing from Trump today. Why are we wasting time with some clickbait non-issue?

Although now it's being said his comments were distorted.

QuoteAt a taping of an MSNBC town hall to be aired later, host Chris Matthews pressed Trump on his anti-abortion position, repeatedly asking him whether abortion should be punished if it is outlawed. “This is not something you can dodge.”

“Look, people in certain parts of the Republican Party, conservative Republicans, would say, ‘Yes, it should,’” Trump answered.

“How about you?” Matthews asked.

“I would say it’s a very serious problem and it’s a problem we have to decide on. Are you going to send them to jail?” Trump said.

It really is so easy to deflect the public's attention away from the real issues...money drives policies...

1. Demonize corporations, promise taxation and penalties...this hides the fact you supported the trade policies that exported higher paying jobs out of the country, while securing the union vote...
2. Demonize the police...hides the fact that an open border policy brings in inexpensive labor that competes directly with a significant portion of the black community
3. Demonize industry for the sake of environmental regulation...hides the fact that jobs related to energy, minerals, agriculture are transferred out of the country...

Lobbyists representing big money interests pay both sides to hide the reality behind social and patriotic issues...and the media is completely complicit in this charade...

The GOP establishment/corporate cabal is far more terrified of Trump than the Left because he knows their game...and HRHH's.  The Left thinks HRHH can beat him, but then they also think she's just wonderful.

Zetaspeak

The problem with defending a compulsive liar like Trump that the defense gets more elaborated and absurd. It went from "Never seeing her before" to somehow thinking that a journalist carrying a pen/phone abnormal sight and suspicious.

Why are Trump defenders acting like she ran up to him at a urinal? Trump was clearly at a public event, he seems to be mingling in and out with a bunch of people. So why grab specifically her and not the other people surrounding him? Her story adds up a heck of a lot more than Team Trump does who was already caught in a bull faced lie in the "Never seen her before" before the video came out. Her story about asking a question they didn't like and then his goons pulled her away seem much more credible as she's the only one they felt "threatened by" in a room full of people.

Like others have mentioned, this isn't an open space. I am pretty sure everyone was pre-screened. So Trump is either making up a threat, or he's really has a paranoia problem. I think both are very dangerous.  Either way it makes him very dangerous as Prez. If he's willing to exaggerate a threat in this situation, what other situation will he "make up a threat against a private citizen"  or if he's so paranoid that he thought a situation like this deserves that sort of reaction, he shouldn't be anywhere near controlling the military.

Like I said when I first saw the video, the lie and the spin can be considered worse than the act. It's never cool to bruise a woman (I can't believe I actually have to write that in) but he could have at least said "I wanted to get her attention, I might have accidently grabbed to hard, I apologize" would have looked a bit bad on him as he has a history of being a hot head, but wouldn't be as big of a story as being caught in a lie in saying "He never saw her" and now spinning that he thought she was a threat. It's a real concern the inability to "own" anything, and turn every single thing into a conspiracy against Trump.

Yes, but not the least bit surprising when you understand who he is and how he thinks.

He's pro-life and supportive of women but wants to punish women who have had abortions and is ready to send other women back to getting dangerous and illegal abortions. He supports alliances but wants to end the most important one, NATO. He supports non-proliferation but wants Saudi Arabia, Japan and South Korea to have nukes. He's against Iran having nukes but is sure it will happen in 10 years and that it's unavoidable.

His ignorance and stupidity is boundless. It was reassuring to finally see a news person take no shit from Trump. Chris Matthews stayed on his case until he got a yes or no answer. Trump finally caved in and said what he said on abortion. Maybe we should get a Sheriff Joe type to toughen up other reporters before interviewing Trump. He needs to be questioned forcefully to get anything out of him. Short of waterboarding of course, though Trump doesn't mind that practice.

I have to assume Lewandowski thought he was defending Trump.  From past attacks on public figures and candidates, if anyone deserves the benefit of the doubt, Lewandowski does.  There's no other motive.  That the SS was there isn't relevant if he thought they missed her, as the video seems to show.

A legal technicality is being inflated beyond rational sense.  It was battery. OK. The "grab" is legally battery as peeing in an alley is a legally a sex crime.  In its true scope, its trivial.  As I've said in other posts, the Stop Trumpers are trying to give it a sexual offense connotation, which is really twisted, and that crap is why I'm responding so strongly.  I'm not a Trump supporter, but I think the man is being smeared in every manner possible, and its going to get worse.  Defending DT against the gross distortions is a dirty job, but someone's gotta do it.

A legal technicality is being inflated beyond all rational sense.  It was battery. OK.  So is jostling on the Metro at 7 AM or pushing someone aside to grab your bag on the airport carousel. The "grab" is legally battery as peeing in an alley is a legally a sex crime.

But Lewandowski isn't security. They knew Fields, so it wasn't or at least to my mind doesn't come to the level of a threat. And we can minimize physical aggression but it isn't the same as peeing in the street.

But I see your point. I had even mentioned to my wife, I thought this wasn't worthy of that amount of time. But for good or bad, rather than rationally explain and apologize, a smear campaign and denials were the response. And to me that doesn't show well for Trump. The "do we know where the bruises came from?" dodge is really pathetic. And it shows a disrespect for responsibility, honesty, and just general decency.

That being said, I still go back to the grandmother solution. This wasn't a threat on someone's life, it was at best an irrational response for who knows what reason, and at worst some form of intimidation. Either way, it sucks. It doesn't matter if Fields was a conniving-gold digger-witch. And yes if someone on the bus grabs another in that manner it is still criminal.

I know Trump is lying in regards to his pro-life stance. Just think what his answer would be if he had already received the nomination. Erring on the side of the Supreme court decision while also personally being against abortion but advocating women's rights would have been the answer you would have gotten post nomination. Trump is being more political than he would admit.

Yep, treacherous waters in a Republican primary in some states he is an idiot if he doesn't try to be political. He might claim "he is not a politician" but to be elected you need to act like it sometimes.

By the way the prosecutor, Palm Beach County State Attorney Dave Aronberg, who is pressing the assault charge against Lewandowski over those horribly awful bruises is a Billary supporter, not just a voter who supports her, but in her organization "“Florida Leadership Council.” I'm sure it is common practice in a state like Florida that has no crime to prosecute minor bruising.

I've always felt that pro-lifers saying abortions should be banned, the doctor punished but the mother should face no penalty was a schizo position.  It was an ambush question to be expected from Matthews, who's 100% in the tank for HRHH.  I watch him a lot and he's not asked any other candidate that question...or anything remotely close.

Yep and the Palm Beach County State Attorney Dave Aronberg, is a member of a Billary fundraising and support group. Obviously the media will take any bait if has something to do with Trump but the possibilities/allegations of unsecured emails, dead people, removing classified material, erasing the classification notice so material could be sent, having outside "private" diplomatic/security advisors, etc etc are boring and unimportant because she is a Clinton.
