Can we build a robot that trips on acid? This is not a frivolous question, according to neuroscientist Andrew Smart. If we canâ€™t, he argues, we havenâ€™t really created artificial intelligence. In the first half, he joins Richard Syrett to discuss how he's weaved together the largely forgotten world of psychedelic research with the resurgent field of conscious robots. Followed by historians Nelson & Wanda Thall who share their archaeological and mythological pursuit of the "Lost Ten Tribes."

Might be a pretty good show. I don't share the level of interest in AI some here do, but this seems an interesting take on it.

Pretty good show so far (minus Syrett's opening joke thud). Good guest and an interesting take on the difference between brute-force computational A.I. and organic/biochemical/intuitive human intelligence.

For me he's the second-most listenable c2c host after Knapp, even though he sounds like a forest-dwelling wizard in a droopy hat.

The other night Snoory's opening joke for the buried alive segment had a guy buried alive but the guy's cell phone he insisted on having had no service.

I thought the "loosen up" joke was kind of cute.

The Ten or Twelve Tribes of Isreal makes for good background noise while I try to stitch together a new haiku for Noory.

Actually, I am sort of stuck (I think if I was drunk it would be easier, or maybe I wouldn't care as much? Not Sure).

It all started with "Spam Golem," which I thought was funny and could represent Tommee...

It is like I am doing Mad Lib Haiku. Completely stalled out. How to stitch together the words in nineteen syllables? Perhaps a double haiku.

I may give up, in case I do and revisit the issue I use BellGab as a personal note-book and leave the following words/phrases of haiku interest:

Spam Golem
homunculi/homunculus primus
Hawaiian
Mandragora/mandrake
Performationism/performationist (igNoorism of preformationism)

Didn't read that into it. Early on they mentioned the kingdoms of Isreal (north) and Judah (south). It was also mentioned that there were Jews of varying skin tone.

Seemed they only cared about the white folk that claimed decent from the lost tribes. This despite the fact that the evidence that the Ethiopian Jews are decended from the Danites is pretty strong.

That's something I would probably need to check up on, but as Abraham was born in Mesopotamia, I'm kind of doubting the white, blond part.

There was some noticeable emphasis that Ephraim was given the rights of the firstborn among Israel.

I listened to more of it than I cared to- but I really didn't find it that bad (yeah, so they wish they were Jewish- big deal...) What gets me is these "historians" who are the soul keepers of the trooth. Nobody but them has figured this out and they are 100% positive right down to the naming of the Danube river. Shortly after that I could no longer stand the stench of the massive pile of steaming excrement that is coast in the confined space that is my kitchen and am enjoying the silence.
