Yes, the three-syllable coffee is a dead giveaway, sounds like my aunt from Staten Island.  The non-rhotic "otha" you noted places it squarely in one of the big port cities.  You must be far enough west to be grouped more with Upper Midwest than the distinctive Boston or Connecticut accents directly east of you.

She is also sounding most of her interstitial ts instead of turning them into ds or glottal stops like we do out here.  This argues for lessons, or at least paying attention.

I remember that night, but I'm not sure if it was the same night or not, my dad had just passed away late September is why I remember the approx. time I was on MV's Gabcast, but not exactly which night it was.

Btw HW said somewhere on one of her FB pages that her fans should listen to her on affiliate feeds because LNM is being attacked every night. Since I saw it I can't find it again, but they have officially snuffed out ANY negative comments or questions on her fringe site, giving people "time outs" or banning them for answering back in ways the mods don't like. Really controlling bullying stuff, nothing but adulation and praise allowed. Sigh.

Someone actually referred to HW as the Queen on FB and she said she's not royal, she doesn't rule anyone... and they said yes, she's the Queen of the Night! Now she's asking her listeners to subscribe so they can ride into the nye... doesn't make sense, does it?

Oh well, tomorrow's another day!

You know, I was just talking about that with someone the other day. It seems to me that the sunlight where I am is very harsh, the sky much more glaring white, I have to wear sunglasses outside most of the time when I didn't have to in days gone by. Atmospheric changes for sure, not making me happy in addition to going from cold winter spell to much too hot and humid way too early, with very little spring in between, only tons of rain for two weeks.

I would have loved to have had a wee bit more spring, it would have felt more normal.

I haven't seen any tech problems on LateNightInTheMidlands, Varas show since I've been listening so far.  I haven't been listening long, but hes live right before Heather with no issues experienced by myself so far.
