The HEB and Kroger grocery stores usually have a small sushi bar. I am pretty sure Livingston has an HEB.  There will probably be a chinese place and maybe a Vietnamese Pho place.

I just checked and the nearest Japanese place is probably in Huntsville or Porter

I've never had Vietnamese so that may be the option chosen. I wonder if they'll serve insects?
I would be curious to try that.

Some differences of opinion goin on fer shure!  ;D

Vara should shy away from political discussion. He's on the right track but he trips over himself.

I enjoy it.   I enjoy political discussions, as well as hearing people trip over themselves.  :-[

Oh, I do too! However, it's clear that he's bull shitting his way through it. I could just head back into the truck stop for that! lol

My vote is for Vietnamese food:

Fried spring rolls with chicken brochettes and rice vermicelli.

I am hoping for something more authentic. Something so contradictory to my norm that I will either love it or wish that I'd never tried it!

The next twenty minutes will offer clue as to whether or not this guest will ever be on again.

Fried whole shrimp? Lime salt to lightly dip them in. You eat the whole thing. Don't let them get cold!

It’s probably too late for mudbugs. I wouldn’t try oysters in Livingston. Livingston is pretty much a barbecue and fried catfish town. They will have a Sonic AND a Dairy Queen AND a Whataburger though.

I thought you were chasing fruits

So good. I can't believe it's legal.

What is it? ???

The fruit of the mighty saguaro cactus. Candy of the gods! An annual pilgrimage for me.

I had an easier time finding words recording Midnight in the Diner than I am hearing on air right now...

Do you eat the seeds? The flesh? Both? What does it taste like?

No fast food. A Texas Steakhouse, although cliche, is a viable option.
Better yet, an open pit bbq.

Dickey’s used to be a good spot if they are still open.

Highly Moderated, what a waste.

Will you post my address?

So this must be where Whitley's free cash is going.

Yes, seeds and custardy filling. Sweetest when dried. 30% oil and 10% protein in the seeds. Tastes like the yummiest granola bar you could ever imagine. Absolutely my favorite food.

What type of birth certificate did Tatiana EarthAlien provide for proof of their real name?

Looks wild! I'll have to try it sometime. Is it ever sold commercially or am I SOL unless I harvest it myself?

Totallly not sold. Occasionally traded amongst wildcrafters but rarely as it's too good to part with. Free for the gathering though.
