Our beliefs are a result of what we were taught by those who raised us, mixed in with things like stories of "Santa Clause".  The gifts magically appearing on the proper day, and the Easter Eggs magically appearing on the proper day, prove to a child that these entities are real, along with all the other entities we are taught about, like God for example.

We believe,  because our "teachers"  made sure the "gifts" arrived on the proper day, when our minds were vulnerable, because we were a child.
