Ok so you guys deserve a break, true, but for us west coast insomniacs it's on too early.

Boy oh boy...west coast entitlement.  ::)   Sorry you had a rough time last time you visited.  East coast pigeons are assholes.   ;) .....

Just getting started. Really overwhelming to see all of the support here from Bellgab.
I'll try not to screw it up.
It's kind of cool to see.  I feel like the proud parent of a kid who is going out on another date after breaking up with their first love.  After Art left I worried that people would never love or trust a broadcaster again- but here we are on what will be the third date (somewhere there is a joke about a third date- but I am too much of a gentleman to make it- and rumour has it that your mother reads here.)  8)

To be a little more serious, it sounds like the only way to screw this up would be to change- your show appears to be very well accepted.  (Of course, quitting might also do it-  did you see what happened when Art quit last time?) :P

Man. That reminds of a New Years Prediction show with Ian where some guy was saying that the "rodents would start to turn" and attack people. Ian tried to draw him out (bears, etc) but he insisted it would be a more localized phenomena (but would expand) but sticking with rodents. Same show another guy said that King Midas was in palladium and was "coming back."

When I listen to (Amy), I feel enthusiasm, and a wonderful "work ethic",  ie: A willingness to move forward into new and unique perspectives, without a need to ride on the coat tails of others, without any preconceived notions of "guaranteed fans",  open to criticism, and fearless in the face of Risk.  I admire all that!

Are there any free teaser archives for those of us who have not been able to catch it live??
I think it would be a good idea to select one episode of the show and make it free in a way to promote it to people like me who do knot know anything about the show at all.

While I'm thinking about it, just the umpteenth reminder that we'll have Jackey on Monday.
If you haven't seen Manos The Hands of Fate, try to at some point find and watch it this weekend.
So I tracked it down and watched it.  Boy, do you have the right audience here at Bellgab for Manos.  That movie is the visual representation of a Noorie-hosted Coast broadcast. :o

There are many here who enjoy listening to (and commenting) on the worst radio show produced... They ought to enjoy watching the worst movie as well...  For anybody who is unsure where to find a copy of this disaster, Wikipedia has a link to the full (original) version... Although coast has turned me into a connoisseur of all that is bad, and I'm sure it is even worse in it's remastered glory, I couldn't be bothered to look for it and "settled" for the unrestored version. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manos:_The_Hands_of_Fate

*** I think I may head over to the OSOM thread and post your upcoming show.  Those people listened to Hoagland for the technical problems and the "braaps"... Out of everybody on this site, it seems they would most enjoy Manos.***

As a bad movie fan I'm really looking forward to the show about Manos. There's a documentary about it on YouTube called Hotel Torgo that's a must see for fans of the film.

Great idea! I'm working on it. Going to be posting some show clips to YT very soon.

Thanks! Yes. Please cross-promote. More listeners= I can pay the bills with bigger advertisers. Having to do this from ground-up is a challenge but I'm all-in at this point.

IF anyone wants to eventually help with radio Ads (no woo-woo) PM me. I'm thinking this could be a contract position w/direct commissions. Good advertisers pay generously, and I wouldn't mind generously sharing. Could be a nice thing as we grow the show. So keep it in mind if you continue to like what you hear.

I'm struggling.  I have restarted it more than 10 times, but I am determined to complete my homework on time.

You are not trying to watch the movie just as is are you?  That will damage your health.

Our friends from Gizmonic make it bearable:

Good advice.  No one should watch that flick w/o some kind of support.

Have not seen Manos in years, but I remember there is a dreadfully bad stretch in the opening few minutes where it is literally a dude filming shaky footage from a car ... with the worst music playing in the background.

IIRC, Torgo passed on a few years back.

Wife and I named one of our cats Torgo.

Any reference that I could find stated that he committed suicide a month before the movie premiered (unless you refer to your cat, in which case, I will have to accept your word on the matter...)

3OctaveFart

I stand corrected. Maybe it was someone else involved in the movie.

Edit: OK, it was the guy who played the titular character in Eegah!, which was also MSTied.

I watched it three times this weekend.

This event was fun. Lots of crowd participation in my local theater during the simulcast. Place was packed! Most everyone dressed up to match the cast.

So, how do I end a Mother's Day celebration?  By coming home and watching Manos: The Hands of Fate.  I no longer have the pleasant feeling I had throughout the day.  I feel like I've done something wrong or forgot something important.  Now I must lay down and hope for peaceful slumber.  However I feel I may stare at the ceiling.

Cheers all!  :D  'Til tomorrow!  8)
