I'm not a fan of the open lines format, but yes, she seems to have a native intelligence HW doesn't. This is somebody who studies neuroscience for fun. Maybe she has better life experience, as well.

The dumbest defense of HW has been that she's getting bashed because she's a woman. I think most men would prefer to hear a sharp woman in this genre rather than an old guy.

Many of us remember Heather's meltdown, when she turned on her friends here. Shit hitting the fan wasn't limited to Bellgab. She fired her advertising guy, and DMDN lost Steve Warner and Howard Hughs. She's moved on to blame her callers for challenging her phony guests. Promoting snake oil salesmen is her new Modus Operandi.

She had a lot of support in the beginning. The changing of the tide isn't without reason. She's wise to stay away from Bellgab now. This isn't the love & peace club. Art himself often said Bellgab has the harshest critics.

None of it matters now anyway, Amy's on the Radio.

and there in is the issue..much like art she chose to take to heart the bad instead of the more healthy support she got...you are a good and loyal...friend Star, but ultimately team MITD failed as a whole...someone from the get go that should not have been producing is now hosting who should not be hosting. The show be it her or the guests she has is just, for me, unlistenable and on top of it..it is 5 hours long. And more so..a grown woman of 40 years gets told by her crush that she can not go some where..

how do you think she would be received if she did like Amy has done and interacted instead of just turned her back? I am willing to bet people around here would have been more forgiving. Problem is, aside from her presentation, might not even really in the end be solely her fault, and that is the strict adherence to just paranormal...or rehashing the same old tired guests

It is clear to see just even here, how much people do not enjoy the show when the MITD thread pretty much is a ghost town at the third hour..same with dmtalk ..

I find more often than not you manage to put my thoughts in a concise, readable format (and I should just quote you rather than write my own long, rambling posts.)

I also have to say that almost 25 pages of responses after two shows is amazing (I was out for both of them but hope to catch one next week...)  For this group of... critical critics to only find that there may have been some dead air and that she may have talked a little too fast is amazing.  It gives me real hope that this may be the show to fill a void.  Too bad she is a woman and will never be accepted.

Again, I'm concerned about running into music licensing problems especially if these are re-issued from other labels.

If I can get it in writing somewhere that artist and label are not affiliates with any music licensors or wanting royalties for broadcast, then maybe.

I can only offer exposure and posting purchase links to their music on the site.

Brig and I were watching the thread stats last night. At one point there were around 115 visitors to the thread. It seems like a lot for a new show from a new person. Hopefully this has some staying power. I'm sure some of the interest is just a curiosity with another voice formerly connected to MITD, but I also think she has some talent and intelligence.

Thanks. Yep, I'd like to use any music I'd like but I'm afraid the music police would come down and kill the broadcast.
They want a hefty sum. For someone who doesn't have a major startup investor, it's just not feasible for me or for the network at this point. Maybe in the future.

If you haven't seen Manos The Hands of Fate, try to at some point find and watch it this weekend. I know there have been a couple of impromptu live YT streams already from folks on #AmyTalk riffing the movie late last night and this evening. There may be another live stream Sunday. I don't know, as I'm not organizing.
