Damn good call Starr!

Yes Starr makes a good point.  I'd go a step further.  I don't just want a fresh bod, gimme an enhanced one.  If I'm hurtling into the future I'm goin' Borg.

WOTR

It's good to hear a BGer live... nice call.

PrairieGhost

Not just talking it up because Amy On The Radio is a show on my network but this has been a damn good open lines night.

The trolls are still here, Starr. They just have their own threads now.  ;)

Great call--I'm with you, starr. I want something a little fresher than a fast frozen and thawed type deal.  ;D

WOTR

I'm sorry... I missed  Stanton Friedman?!?  Really?  :-\

Amy & crew ... just caught a thought-provoking documentary on PBS, called "The Singularity: Will We Survive Our Technology".  It's from a few years ago, but new to me lol.

Anyway if you haven't seen it, you might find it interesting.  Various researchers and thinkers revisit Ray Kurzweil's idea of the convergence of A.I./nanotech/robotics, and how it could affect perception, medicine, society, etc.

Possible bonus: pretty much any of the featured interviewees might make a good guest.   ;)

Have you read The Singularity Is Near: When Humans Transcend Biology by Ray Kurzweil?  I know he is mentioned in the documentary you commented on, but just wondering if you've checked out the book.

I've heard it referenced alot before but actually haven't read it yet.  It's on my list, though.  Btw Ray himself is in that doc.
