Close.  For me was watching The Animal chew the turnbuckle to pieces

wow...Hobbesian choice there...

Dr. MD MD

Amy, please! He was shilling for Monsanto. He vehemently didn't want people to save their own seeds. What's the rationale behind that?  ???

Who said that? Just curious...I have a big garden and buy heirloom varietals....I always keep seeds for the next season..

Dr. MD MD

Listen to the GMO show.  I forget the guy's name. ;)

When it came to "pro" wrestling I always enjoyed the shit talk the best. The actual "wrestling" I could take or leave cuz we all know/knew it's uber fake anyway.  ;) :P

It's like when you get old enough to realize that Santa Claus is really your parents, but somehow you still want to believe he's for real. :)

Contract law?  He was a legal secretary.

Amy, your explanation of the Monsanto rationale about not saving seeds was pathetic. You don't even sound like you really believe that yourself.  :P

ok...i'll try...Monsanto sued a farmer for their GMO crops cross pollinating an heirloom varietal...Monsanto won in court and it put the small farmer out of business...that is a well documented case...

He was talking about a farmer that was sued be caused he bought GMO seeds, signed a contract saying he wouldn't save the seeds, and then planted them the next year. And lied in court. Farmer lost.

If that was the case in Canada, then there is pretty convincing evidence that the farmer lied about the seeds. The one in Canada, the farmer had some seeds left over and mixed those with some that he harvested and saved for the next year.

First time listener, not a bad interview with Jesse "the body" Ventura.

Seems like you have to simply cut him off and say your piece.

Impressed.

Yes. She was being way too polite.

Amy please tell me you don't eat Atlantic GMO salmon

Listen to the show again. They weren't talking about any specific case at that point. He got all emotional and blathery about how stupid it was for people to save their own seeds.  Monsanto shill ::) ;D

I listened to it Sunday as a matter of fact. To me it sounded like a simple case of contract law. If you buy seeds and sign a contract that says you can't save seeds, and then you do, you have broken the contract. Pretty simple to me. Didn't even have to put on my rocket scientist hat.

chefist

Plenty of farmers that have signed no documents have been sued and lost...that is the problem...you grow heirloom corn, farmer next to you buys GMO patented corn that cross pollinates with yours, and then you lose in court and are put out of business...

I would hope you are not defending that?

While they may have touched on that case he then went into a diatribe about how stupid it was for ANYONE to save their seeds when they could just buy them from Monsanto. Your right though, he's probably NOT a Monsanto shill.  ::) :P

No. Just trying to restate what I heard. I think Monsanto sucks.

I already sent Amy some notes about things he got wrong. If he was a Monsanto shill he would have known the difference between RoundUp Ready and BT Toxin GMOs. He totally screwed up what RoundUp Ready means.

Well, alright then. I think they also neglected to talk about how organic farmers have used BT for years.  ;)

Amy The Hollywood Hotel staring Mel Gibson is perhaps the worst movie ever made

Dr. MD MD

7 was disappointing, to say the least. The story felt very tacked-on to me. All the special effects in the world can't hide bad writing.  ;)

Stop arresting members of the Nelson family down there in Texas!  >:(

P.S. The book lied about him, Grav! He was defending his name. They started it.  ::) :D

Yeah the bar statement and fight story was allegedly made up. Jesse wanted to clear his name.
