Me too, I have my hat on. :)

Good hat, brig. I've got the old style. Mine's a bit out of fashion, but I like it.

Good evening everyone!

Good evening everyone!

Hey, PG. Should be a good one tonight. I've always liked real cold stuff.   :D

Thank you, we are doing our best!

I loved Omni! A lot of it was speculative, hypothetical or sometimes even bordering on psuedoscience...but usually interesting.  ;)

Code N20! STAT!!  >:(

So there is my first question.

Why is the Cryonics Institute located in Clinton Township, Mich?   What was the thinking behind
picking that location?  Clinton Twp is about 8 miles north of Detroit so it is pretty stable
disaster-wise.   No earthquakes, mudslides, hurricanes, wild fires, etc.  AFAIK Detroit Edison still
uses coal over Nuclear Plants.

Was that a factor in locating the institute?

Call the show tonight and ask! :)

I wish I'd have kept all my old issues, if only for the cover art!  For awhile in the 90's Wired was pretty cool, but never as cool as Omni.

I loved when Omni had the world's hardest IQ test.

A beer-can hat is not complete without a sippy-straw.

Nope - got it from mine.  They were just about the highlight of the '70s

My grandma drank Pabst too.   ;)

I'm finding the guest's connection pretty muddy, still listenable though.

Considering most funerals can run upwards of $10000 or more it really doesn't sound that bad, in terms of cost. The question is, "Is eternity for you?"  ;)

It is a shame his audio isn't crisper

WOTR

I have been trying to listen for the last half hour... My speaker finally seems to be dead (plays for 30 seconds and then shuts off.)  I'm cursed to surf bellbag in silence...

Zenman

Hmm..  If you had the choice, would you go with cryonics or would you rather have your consciousness DLed into some sort of robot with good mobility? Or neither?

I'd just have 'em wake me up just in time for my reservation here.  :D

Ha. My buddy, who actually turned me on to Art way back, had a Lonestar hat like that one he would wear at the lake etc. Even got on the cover of the paper showing "good times" at Aquafest or some lake festival. Good memories. Art was even mentioned at his funeral- because he would stop parties or take control of people's car radio or stereo to put on Art.
