I really didn't like the idea of a pre recorded interview but with you coming on afterword was really cool. It worked out great and don't mind that sort of format at all. I was surprised you didn't get some interesting calls but when you have such a smart guest on I kinda woulda sounded like a dumbass with any questions I might have asked.

Thanks. I like doing live interviews because it's actually easier, but I guess it worked out for everyone.

I found out later people were dialing into my second line, which I didn't have setup at the end of the show because I repeat the main line number ad nausea when it's open.

SO if you have the show lines programmed in your phone, I suggest editing the names to reflect this:

Amy On The Radio Main Line 1 : (424) 253-0632 or SKYPE amyontheradio

Amy On The Radio Alt Line 2: (424) 253-0301 or SKYPE AOTR2

As a general rule, I put guests on the Alt Line 2. If I only have one line open for callers, it will always be Line 1.
If I open both lines, it's so that if Line 1 is busy or not answered, I can queue you up on Line 2.

If I announce both lines open with no callers or guests on, pick your favorite.

I know everyone's on the police shooting thread now, but while BG is back up, wanted to pop over and drop a quick note.

Tonight I made the decision not to go on-air in the state I was in to address a minor gaffe which happened in scheduling---which left me reeling.

I consider no one to blame but myself, as I was asking for a miracle in a last minute schedule change which through other channels, produced someone frequent to the talk show circuit. I was fine with that, as I approach things skeptically and different as you may well know.

As I was gathering links for the show page, I stumbled onto a Wikipedia article with a different name but same photo as someone scheduled.

Considering the nature of recent events, I don't know if it was seeing videos of people being murdered on Twitter this morning in the police shootings, combined with stumbling on that article (which---is on the sidebar of Google by the way) but half an hour before the program, I was very upset and ready to go to air and call out other hosts (people in the business for a very long time) about their ignorance, which I absolutely cannot and will not do.

Being the morbidly curious person I am there is not much which personally offends, surprises, or catches me off guard.

I felt sideswiped this afternoon.

Bottom line: Do Your Homework.

The cool thing is neither is he so he'll only talk about the cases that show some promise of evidence. Also, he's a PhD psychologist and will talk about how a lot of cases of close encounters are the result of psychedelic experiences, drug induced or not.
