Has the guest ever discovered Shasta soda?

I thought I would check out the show for ten minutes today, I mean what's the worst that could happen. Well to start with Heather was giving relationship advice to some friendzoned cuck.

DELETE THIS SHOW!!!!

Did the advice include directions for casting a spell?

Best not to ask that around MITD.

And yes, I must agree.  I am not in radio, I just dreamed of it all my life, loved it all my life.  What amazes me is Art can conduct an interview with anyone, on any topic; it's fun, interesting, and above all engaging.  "A master makes it look easy", Art does, it's effortless when he does it, because as you pointed out, he does the heavy lifting before showtime, like any person would who gives a shit.

After listening to the overwhelming awkwardness contained in that clip, I think it is safe to say that Heather doesn't do any heavy lifting before showtime.  If the guests/callers don't carry the show for her, she has no idea what to do.

This at a time when she has the entire Internet at her disposal to help her come up with paranormal topics to discuss.  The show isn't worth her spending, say, a half-hour surfing every day for backup material in case the guest bails early or no one calls?  Really?

Mind-blowing.

Oh dear.  I'd say more, but the pendulum has swung far enough and it's time for the redemption narrative.  Come on, at least she shows up.  Relentlessly.

Wow!   :o   That should've been her last show.  "Overwhelming awkwardness" is an understatement.   That was painful.  :P

Men should never ever listen to relationship advice from women. The shit they say women want is 180 degrees from what most women ultimately end up going for.

Dead air like this is easily avoidable. Art would simply segue to an AP news story (which he printed before the show) - these days Heather could just pick and read a good one from a computer screen. Given he is her mentor, she must not be heeding his tricks of the trade. I even gave her this link when she started the show and told her that was what Art did.

The handy thing about news articles is they are written that as soon as a phone lights up you can wind things up with a couple sentences and move on to the caller.

Good Evening All,

Will Heather address the lawsuit?

Will she slam the evil conservative Michael Savage?

Will she put a hex on him?

Stay tuned

SergeantMajor

A couple of shows per call if you can get it in?

Is she insane? How many people are jamming the lines to talk to her?

Good Grief!

I suspect that both men and women have different standards for a person who is a fun date and one who is marriage material.  Maybe that's where the confusion lies.

trostol

good gravy she is still awful

also swear her story changed about growing up

trostol

Cali is considered the Pacific Northwest?

Jackstar

I'm listening live tonight for the first time in months, like so many other people, to be sure.

Why would Art even need to come back? Heather Wade's relentless onslaught of adequacy persists.

SergeantMajor

SHouldn't be to long before she mentions witchiness

she is an awful story teller lol

This story is so bad, I don't know where to look.

("Mind-blower" is right, Heather.)

SergeantMajor

If you mean modern in the sense of the Gilbert and Sullivan piece, yes, but no, I'm an old school SGM. Have one more year to go until retirement

WTF is she even talking about

It's an "I, me, I, me"-type lame story about how Thunderdrums came to be bumper music for the show and was almost (but not actually) the opening song for MITD at one point.  ::)
