My wife and most of her family have stayed off Facebook. I'm on it, sort of, but use it mainly as a way to network with the local running community through various groups and clubs. I don't update my daily life on there because, well, nobody cares! lol  :

Us too! Well, that and the fact that we hear so much from our family and friends who are on Facebook how much anxiety and anger it causes in their lives. If it wasn't so sad I would laugh. We even got into trouble with a friend because we begged off going to a party she was throwing and the wife of the other guitar player in my band posted pictures on Facebook that showed we were at their house rehearsing the band. Our friend saw them and was pissed at us. And we weren't even on Facebook!

Yeah I've heard of that sort of thing happening. People can randomly tag you in photos they take of you, post them on FB, and they're there for eternity! I suppose someone could lawyer-up and try to have them removed but I don't know how well that works.

It's refreshing for me to see the responses from people who don't use Facebook.  I also didn't mean to hijack the thread to talk about Facebook. I made the inquiry because it's permeated absolutely everything and of all the people I know, I am only one of two people who don't use it.  I did have an account about 5 years ago and that lasted just a few months.  I just couldn't get into it.  I did find some old friends, but that was the only positive.  Cheers to all the anti-Facebook peeps!

I don't know, but I don't think it is a very good measure. The amount of troll posts is way down.

Sometimes it seems like sitting around the campfire telling stories amongst friends. Other times the posts in the thread take a negative slant and I don't even bother posting.

I still don't understand why anyone would listen to the show or post in the live thread if they don't like it.

Maybe it is like me and the OSOM thread. I at least try to like it. I listen to be entertained by the looniness of it all, but most of the time I just follow the thread and only throw in a random post.

I think is also sometimes a decent number of posters to the thread that aren't even listening to the show but commenting on the subject or other comments and/or say "hi" to other BGs folks. Peter Davenport the other night on "another show" mentioned that he might be shutting down live answering UFO reports because of the increase in prank calls he is getting- often very crude and offensive.

Thanks, ALB and GS...that helps a lot...I don't listen or post (only rarely) as I am not a fan, but was curious what those who frequent the show and thread thought...
