Talking about it seems to have run them off, so being quiet about it might bring them back ;

Seriously - it's like day and night over the span of one or two days:  every page was about 90% ignored garbage, and now they're completely gone...poof...  I wonder if shills are told to back the fuck off when people start opening calling attention to them...

Interesting theory.

Reptilians with muscles.  Greer!  I knew it!

I dig his use of "brother."  I think of him as JJ Walker with a hoarse voice.  Good Times!

...as opposed to horizontal, like a goat?

Goats are weird.
Not weird, actually, more like guys in high school, fraternities, etc. Actually normal, in the old days.

Anyone read any Harry Turtledove books?
I have suggested him as a guest many times. I have never heard or seen him do an interview,  not sure he does them but think it would be great.
Discuss...?

I've read all his books dealing with alternative world/US military history.  I think he's a better science fiction/fantasy writer than he's a military historian, but his books are damn sure entertaining.  From I've heard and read, Turtledove is a real coo coo bird eccentric who hates giving interviews, but he was #1 on my list as submitted to Heather when she became producer.

Please repost. The frozen ones are getting smaller every day. One of the things I really miss from NYC. With Gludens (brown spicy) mustard.

Understood, don't want to give away your 'tell'  ;) I enjoy it when you pull though, even when it costs me the Nordic game!

I usually go for a Southern Hemisphere strategy.

Has anyone else noticed that all the people on your ignore list stopped posting the day we starting talking about shills?  This thread and the Art Bell thread have gone from 80-90% trolls to 100% regular members essentially overnight.  Fuckn weird.

No coeenshedunces!

akwilly

Just got the show on. Seems like it could be an interesting guest tonight.

Was that the same spam fried rice flavored with the sweet sweet timbres of a sound check with Art?

I recall people, maybe you, suggesting him as guest. I never got into his stuff. My real problem with him his that it undermines history, which is as crazy as one could imagine. So while I appreciate license and etc I don't like pseudo-history-  and retellings, though it can be entertaining. It can lead to bad stuff. NOT to say that "history" is "set" and can't be examined. But there I stand. There is enough in Hollywood and pulp and even 'books'. Then again, it could make people look at real stuff and I do like the idea of alternative history and won't say he isn't a bad author. Torn? I guess.
