also sounds liek he is saying sa lot of this is natural and less man made
If you look at history of climate over a longer time span than few decades-centuries that is the only thing that makes sense.
There was times when co2 was more than tenfold of what it was now and yet ice ages hit us.
Also co2 during most of earths history is actually lagging behind temperatures.
We only have to go back a few millions of years to even find palm trees in middle of arctic at around 80 degrees north, even though these places were at about the same latitude back then.
And even if you go back a few thousand years to earlier in holocene"current interglacial" you find that treelines were higher and that it was warmer in high latiude regions like for example here in Scandinavia. Norway had not long ago a climate more like Denmark or Netherlands.

Most of the current warming is really only because they started tracking temperatures just as we emerged from the little ice age, so of course it started warming up when recovering from one of the coldest periods of the entire holocene.

We are in the midst of an ever-present unveiling of flow that will let us access the quantum soup itself. Who are we? Where on the great story will we be aligned? We are at a crossroads of faith and selfishness.

Acessing the "quantum soup" means only to operate in multiple dimensions at once.  Indeed, in Burnaby, British Columbia D-Wave is, purportedly, accomplishing such a feat.  Does that mean irrationality should follow?  Does that mean because I say a proposition is true without demonstrable evidence ( as last night's guest did) that proposition should be believed?  No, that represents the dark ages.

I don't think they're shutting it down.

I'd be more likely to speculate that... 30 days ran up, Keith told Art, "She's not financially viable, you come back or it sinks," and he won't let it sink.  We'll probably never know, but Rowland seems pretty pissy about his free time.  I don't think he'd keep it going at a loss.

This also makes sense. Wouldn't it be nice if they just played it straight, like Stern or O&A or Radio Chick would do, and said: here's what's happening, here's what it's all about?

We were always most successful with peanut butter and psilocybin sandwiches on toasted flax seed bread.

I took 5 desiccated grams, turned them into powder with an espresso grinder, mixed them in papaya juice (which contains a digestive enzyme), and chugged it fast.  Within five minutes I was hearing the Insect Overlords buzzing across the interdimensional veil, and they sounded angry.  After cowering for a few minutes from the shockingly fast arrival in hyperspace, I had one of the best trips of my life, including a teleportation incident with my friend, and the realization that eternal recurrence is real.  Which is great because we get to live our favorite moments over again infinitely, and awful because the same goes for our most agonizing moments.  Thus, I suggest minimizing your experiences of personal anguish, and pushing the envelope with all the good stuff...

That makes perfect sense - thanks I'd never heard that explanation before.

But there's no way that we don't have spaceflight capabilities.  The DoD would never allow the US to lose the advantage in space.  If they did, they'd all have to be completely incompetent.

The DoD has an unmanned "mini shuttle" that is based on work done by NASA for the X-37 program, which was called by several names as it evolved, but at one time was called "Assured Crew Return Vehicle (ACRV). It would only be conjecture to think the DoD vehicle could eventually be a crewed vehicle. Crewed vehicles have to have totally redundant systems, complete environmental control and life support systems, and a way to store consumables. All of this takes weight and volume. I don't think that the DoD "mini shuttle" can accommodate those requirements.

Someday we will have a vertical takeoff hyper velocity vehicle, but we have had a lot of troubles making scram jets that don't self destruct. Both NASA and DoD have flown scram jets, but I don't believe there has been a single mission that was 100% successful.

Someone should send a screen shot of this conversation to David Jacobs.  He'll think Bellgab was infiltrated by hubrids, and they're talking in alien hieroglyphs.

That's the big drawback to the paranormal format. There might be a lot of good writers and researchers out there, but they really don't have the chops to handle a three-or-four-hour radio show.
