Roswells, Art

I just re-listened to Art's interview with MV for shits and giggles, and Art mentioned trying to get a "good" program to lead into MitD so the listeners would carry over.

I wonder if this is still being pursued, because it's a good idea. Seems strange that there aren't ongoing efforts to bolster the number of shows on the network.

That's a good point. There doesn't seem like there is anything being done to make the network better.

When Art quit, Keith stopoed supporting all of the live shows. I think the only live show he still supports is Hoagland because he coukd never do it himself. I don't think he does anything to support MITD while it is on the air anymore.

my guess would be no...nothing before and soon to be nothing after..and 5 hours of MITD

DMDN will soon, essentially, be a single-show network. Seems short-sighted to not have sought out more live talent to fill the airtime when Heather isn't on.

thats what all the pre recorded shows are for

me and Sci Fi talked about this the other day..should have been a lead in show..MITD 3 hours..something after and get Hoagie to do an earlier show on either saturday or sunday night and find someone else live for the other night hoagie doesn't do..also should relax the paranormal only stance Keith has

I just don't think it's enough. Why would I wait to tune into a show on the network when I could just download the podcast that program has already posted?

Initially, Keith wanted the recorded shows to air on DMDN before they were posted anywhere - he decided after a while that he didn't care though, probably because none of the other shows made him any money.

It actually works out pretty well for lazy people like me who won't chase down individual podcasts but who like having something like the radio on all day tuned to a good station.  There were some good shows today.

I heard another Englishman interviewed who made frequent use of the epenthetic r.  I paid particular attention to the vowels around them to see if there was a pattern, but none emerged.  It takes the place of a glottal stop.  My favorite example was "magmar eruptions".

That model would have made sense if there were a concerted effort to raise awareness of the other programs. Dark City was really the only other one I knew (or cared) about.

I think its a very good idea if you are a podcast in England (or overseas) to be on DMDN as it is exposure to the US market that you would have difficulty getting if you promoted your podcast through normal means.

I have not noticed or haven't paid any attention to if there is any structure to when shows are aired..the only show that I think is on a set night and time is More questions Than answers...other than that I feel as though the shows are randomly broadcasted for example I turn it on and Spooky Southcoast is on which I enjoy listening to, but have no clue how or when I'll catch it again on DMDN

I very well be the only one lost on this matter

They seem to follow the schedule at http://darkmatterdigitalnetwork.com/.  From what I can tell, replays of that evening's shows (except Heather's and Hoagie's) are played until the new schedule begins the next day.

The Dark Matter Network daily schedule is listed here:
http://darkmatterdigitalnetwork.com/

But the regularly scheduled showtimes are late afternoon thru the evening (west coast time) and at other times its usually a repeat of the shows from the past day.
Spooky Southcast is shown on the schedule as Tuesdays from 4:30-6pm (Pacific Time) so that appears correct.

Adrian Lee's show More Questions Than Answers is broadcasted on KGRA, I thought that might have been the case before I posted it as a show on DMDN...it can be entertaining it does not take itself seriously at all can be witty and comical

Wait you're saying that Keith is only in it for the money and not to further the paranormal field  :'(.

Ok...so art  bell believes in heather..he doesn't  have the heart to take his old show back...but he could always let heather run with it and make  it her own show...and then get himself another radio deal somewhere else...

I'm thinking Art's radio days are pretty much done. He said he didn't see himself coming back full time, probably a show once in awhile. Since then he has only done one. Now the colitis. I wouldn't expect more than one show a month, if that many.

Guest has potential to make an interesting show.  Too bad it's on so late and I'm beat tonight.   :'(

I think so too but why Micah Hanks?  The secret space program has Richard Dolan written all over it.

This news is pulling me in.
