Here is the rub, if I as a member from day one am experiencing cancellation issues as a result of an upgrade and am directed to the new subscription page with the carrot of 3 free months as opposed to renewal at the old rate (renewal seems to be at the new rate following cancellation also).  Anyway, it will soon become a non issue, but I won't bite off my nose and not resubscribe I'll hold my nose and get 3 free months.

I got a kick out of how Wells told Mark to let him know if he gets any breaking news about 9/11,  and he'll get him back on, and get the info out to as many people in the world as he can.  I couldn't help thinking, yeah sure, as long as they have a subscription to CTM.

Did you notice that Gaffney shot down John and Jackstar's pet theory that a missile hit the Pentagon.  He said something to the effect that the impact site was damaged precisely as would be expected from the impact of an aircraft.  I can tell you from personal experience that the damage caused by a cruise missile that would penetrate and then explode would be much more extensive than the impact of an airplane.  From looking at the hole in the A Ring, which I did from about 50-60 yards away a few days after 9/11, it was clear that the initial damage was kinetic and the hole was of a size proportionate to the circumference of an airplane fuselage. Further damage was caused by the ignition of JP-4 within hundreds of a second after impact. . The wings would have collapsed backwards upon the fuselage.


The Pentagon is built like a bunker.  I know because I worked there for 3 years immediately before retiring from the Navy.  If anyone doesn't think that the heavy duty framework and reinforced concrete walls of the pentagon would act like a shredder on a plane crashing into it they are sadly mistaken.  There would be no large parts left to find.  The fact that there is no picture of a plane on surveillance videos is due to the slow speed of the camera.   A neighbor of mine was in traffic on 295 roughly adjacent to the Pentagon probably a half mile away.  The plane that hit the Pentagon passed almost directly over his car and he saw it impact as did many others that day.  Every time I hear John or someone else claim with smug certainty that it was a missile strike I want to grab him by his stacking swivel and shake some sense into him.  PEACE, OUT

Here is a story about subscriptions...

4 years ago I ordered PC World Magazine, filled out all the forms over the phone...

Turns out the company was not selling/subscribing PC World Magazine...

I cancelled my order, got a full refund in less than a week...

Since then, 8/2012, I have received 3 magazines a month, which change every year or two...

I receive no bill...

I called and complained about receiving these unordered magazines and ask to have them stop being sent to me...

I now receive 6 magazines per month...

I have learned to keep my mouth shut, at times...

A stacking swivel goes back to the days when the order might be given to "stack arms."  This involved standing a number of rifles up on their buts so that they form a cone and are supported by one another.  The stacking swivel is a metal clip device located just above sling attachment at the muzzle end of the stock that connects to other stacking swivels or a lanyard  to hold the stack together.  I think the last rifle to have a stacking swivel was an M-1 which was replaced by the M-16 during the Vietnam War.   I have fired an M-16 for familiarization but I'll be damned if I can remember if it has a stacking swivel.  (Maybe someone reading this can help me with this. ).  Grabbing someone by his stacking swivel  is an anachronistic term that is still used by some in the military.  Sort of like "keeping your powder dry" or someone being a "loose cannon"

So the plane penetrated the outside wall at a 15-20 degree angle from the ground, changed course after impact so as to assume a steep downward angle sufficient to penetrate most of the 35 floors below the Pentagon (which would have to be an angle approaching 90 degrees) while maintaining enough momentum to penetrate multiple reinforced concrete floors. 

Makes me wonder why we pay to develop bunker busting ordnance that can't achieve anything like that kind of penetration when all we have to do is fly commercial airliners into any subterranean bunkers that we need to take out.
