Very true Trostol. I believe Knapp's excellence in reporting and investigative talents are wasted on c2c. Knapp interviews on Sunday nights are superior as most of us believe. His passion is delivered over the airwaves and all is right! Then comes  Monday through Friday with snoory and his lack of interest and bumbling responses to guests. snoory takes what George Knapp reports on a Sunday and makes it all seem like a mirage. Hope I've managed to explain myself!  Not that I listened to c2c in years. I'd rather eat a 9 day old duck egg! And yes there are peeps that eat them!
Art along with George Knapp would be one heck of a team! Can't wait for Monday and Art's EPIC announcement!

It would probably take a significant amount of money to get Knapp to quit his day job. It'd probably be more than iHate would want to pay him to replace Dave (the same would probably go for bringing Art back to C2C.)

How can it be 'publicity' when he is talking to a captive audience of his own fans and trying to tease them? This doesn't get the word out to a wider audience, it just annoys the people who loved him in the first place and risks alienating them.

My wild guess is Art will partner with a medium to large online network which also has hundreds of terrestrial radio affiliates. This will increase the audience, ie "Next Level".
This also requires MITD to increase the commercial ads per hour & use the standard ad format, top of the hour news, yadda yadda.
Time Traveler subs are locked in through Keith's paypal setup, but new members will signup for podcast archives using the new network & they will handle the subs/payment system going forward. This accounts for the suggestions to sign up for a TT sub before the announcement.
We will all find out what it is soon enough.

4 hours with regular ad breaks to get on with the major terrestrial affiliate offers is long overdue. Quite honestly, If Art has the option of leaving the small time of DMN and answering to folks at Bellgab to go back to playing with the big boys again he would be a fool not to do it, and not a single person here should be upset about it. Art is used to big time production values and power when it comes to his radio show, and anyone thinking he is happier fishing in the little pond is, well... Wrong.

He's been very publicly wrestling with the idea of turning things up again. I don't think for sake of not wanting to, but for sake of not wanting to upset the few of us who left the candle burning in the window for him all this time... It's even possible thus has been Art auditioning or dressing for the gig he really wants. At the end of the day Art is human.

All I can say is I hope I'm right. Art deserves to once again be successful in a major way, and the only way to do that is to get a much, much broader reach than he has now.

At the end of the day, it would take some pressure off of every person here reading this. Ever had something else you needed to do but felt like you should stay tuned in to keep the numbers up? Wouldn't it be nice to NOT have to feel like that? You know the one thing I miss about the old C2C days? The security of knowing that if I couldn't listen for whatever reason that the show would still be there for me tomorrow.

1.  Art's show will be carried on ALL terrestrial radio stations on Earth.
(Hey, if you're gonna dream, DREAM BIG!)

2.  Art's show will be carried on a big terrestrial network (Cumulus? 150 million listeners)

3.  Art's show will be carried on several big terrestrial stations, replacing C2C.

4.  To make any of the above possible, Art agreed to increase commercials time by 2~3 minutes per hour. (And I'm okay with that).

You're right. I am just grasping around in the dark. The entire thing is nonsense and sux. Besides there dark vasder it's none of your business and I need a nap. Looked around today at all the cleaning I need to do, got so tired, needed two naps. Video on that this weekend. Tommy two ton called and dave emailed to thank me for calling and emailing them, then told me Art's big news. I can't say anything since if I keep quiet I get a back up pair of glasses for my one 1/2 working opaque fuck up eyeball and they will pay for a maid to come in and do a one time clean up. Shopping the new tv series in Slovakia, it's going slow, these things are like that. Kathy still not washing dishes. Pinky is doing fine. Heather is doing a great job for MITD, but I was not thrilled with her as an on air personality, and neither was anyone not a core member on Bellgab. Art himself did say that.. That being said... People here love her... Don't beat your head into a brick wall here. Trust me.

Give the guy a break. Art put the info right on his Facebook page, it was all over the Internet, and Heather herself opened herself up for said criticism by going on air. Seems she has a thicker skin than a lot here when it comes to her one night on the radio. She's doing a good job as producer, why can't people just be happy for her for that?

Either this or Art will ad more commercial time on his own, due to a huge station in a big market signing up to carry mitd.

I think the shocking is going to be the amount of increased ad space, and the kind of.... Leaving Bellgabers behind. But without a doubt the show is getting bigger, and the only way that happens is if DMDN is the secondary concern at best. His audience is so much bigger than the number of people it is reaching right now, and that needs to be corrected immediately.
