I believe that's one of Noory's aliases.  Dave, Richard, Dexter, Santa Claus.  Jorch is a well known giver so it's quite understandable.

I just wanted you to know that your assessment of Saudi religious influence is spot on, and sad too. The Saudi version of Islam is the most retrograde version which you will find around the world. The Saudi version is on par with IS, except IS likes to show the world their beheadings and stonings, SA hides it in their prisons.

"SA hides it in their prisons."

Uh, what?  You may want to get a refund for the money you're spending for your "terrorist studies".  SA is blatantly open about their beheadings.  They do it in public.

I'm sorry you're so hurt for some reason. Yes they do sometimes perform punishment in the open, but en-mass they aren't so showy as IS is. IS revels in showing the world just how brutal they can be, SA cannot afford to do the same nor do they need to, they still need to buy U.S. made arms.

Well didn't the Rep's refuse the recommendation to disallow those on a watch list a right to buy a firearm?

that's because anyone can be placed on the no-fly list, entirely without due process.  it's completely arbitrary.  i recall a couple years ago there was a journalist from cnn who did a story on what a load of shit the no-fly list is, and guess what... shortly thereafter, he wound up on it.  imagine that.

in the united states, due process is required before infringing on the rights of citizens.  i know the rest of the word and/or democrats have a hard time with that premise, but yeah.

There are something like 62 employees of some federal dept. on the no-fly list.  Many people get on the no-fly list that don't deserve to be on the no-fly list.  Ted Kennedy was on the no-fly list. The no-fly list is a joke.  There is no due process.

Rather repetitive but I made my point, I think. LOL

and what this guy said.

Is that how the Patriot act works? Roughly?

Oh touche sir! But they don't need to do anything as primitive as kill anyone. They can do what they need to do with OPM..Other people's money. Yours; to keep their sponsors going to help them, and we all fall into the same trap in supporting it. Fun isn't it?

Or we could have it like Syria.

The Patriot act is doublespeak at it's best or should I say at it's worst.  It should have been called Let the Bureacrats in Your Knickers act.

I was avoiding weighing in on this topic, but things have gotten out of hand and it's time to clear the room.

The answer to the topic is easy and was in front of us all along.

^THIS^

I was for it once upon a time but it was only supposed to be temporary.  It is time for it to go.   I'm very much a man of the Constitution and the Patriot Act violates the Bill of Rights.

ok, so because bush shit all over the constitution, let's continue the trend?  that debate tactic, although oft repeated, doesn't work with me.  i'm no bush apologist.  i think he should be charged with war crimes and/or simple murder and imprisoned, if you must know.

Today Trump said "Stop all Muslims from entering the US".  I figure he'll pick up 3-4 points.

I wouldn't go quite as far as that but I sympathize with you.  I voted for Bush 2 times.  I could never vote for Gore or Kerry. The whole Iraq war caught me off-guard and I initially supported it.  I still supported the action after I started doubting the reasons.  I still feel that we should not have abandoned the Iraqi people like we did after the mess we made.  Do I think we should have gone into Iraq now?  No.  Bush was really itching to go into Iraq and I can't help but think that it was partially motivated by a private vendetta the Bushes planned for Saddam after he put out a contract for Bush Sr. in the middle 90's.  If I knew that for sure, I would indeed support his imprisonment and trial for war crimes. However, we will never know.  Of that I'm sure.

I think maybe we should stop all immigration for a period of a few years like we did between '24 and '64.  Say it is assimilation time like we did back then.

As far as what Trump said, that could get him in trouble but I don't think so.  Things seem to slide off him.

I'm afraid I agree. Porous borders, a totally ineffective screening process and a welfare state hasn't served us too well.

On second thought, it's worked perfectly to deliver D votes.

LOL.  The D's will never agree to it.  That is where they are getting all of their new voters and they are going to need them.  They are rapidly losing their old reliable base of blue-collar voters.  And the Republican leaders seem determined to drive off their voter base.  Maybe they will both pass into the ash-heap of history and something new and better will emerge.  We can dream, can't we?

What I meant was, the porous borders have served them well, not the idea of an immigration moratorium.  :)

That's interesting, I didn't know about that. I consider myself very versed in history too. Could you direct me to where I could find more info about this? Interesting that's not more widely known.

I still think my only import people from cultures with awesome food plan is the best. Mexicans and Asians are more than welcome, everyone else can fuck off.

Right.  I knew that was what you meant. Last thing the D's want is a moratorium.

My young daughter (around 5 at the time) was on a special list that prevented us from getting boarding passes before going to the airport.  We were told it was because her name was similar to someone on the no-fly list.   Fortunately they relented on strip searching her.   My mom was also on that special list.   Took quite awhile to clear up.  I have no faith in bureaucracy to protect anyone from anything.

I've been hearing it for awhile now but doing some digging now just to make sure and I'm finding conflicting stories.  Some say immigration was greatly reduced and others say it was all but stopped except for migratory workers from Mexico.  I'm going to have to dig some more.  The Immigration Act of 1924 was what really curtailed immigration but under it I see nothing saying immigration completely stopped.  Of course it is Wikipedia.  Let me dig around some more.

You hear this crap day-in and day-out and you assume its the truth.  I wish I could remember who said it but its all a blur.
