Does anyone else find it a little insulting to Human intelligence and ingenuity that some people think that our space flight had nothing to do with our intelligence and know-how.

yes, as much as I find it insulting to human intelligence that aliens built every ancient monument, and were behind every great thought of ancient civilization.

All the hypotheses about arcane technology from the past are intriguing, but if any of them were real, why would you not think they were invented here, and simply lost to history?
Heck, they're already saying that most of what it took to do the Apollo project, most of which was not even secret, would be impossible to retrieve & duplicate -- that it'd be easier to start from scratch -- and it's so recent!

Anyone still getting the weird latency slips?

I'm stuck on Jay's fantastically ignorant moon hoax statements.  Stan isn't the best sparring partner for that particular canard â€" understandably â€" but Art's replies were disappointingly limp.

I thought it was fairly common knowledge that all Apollo missions had 16mm cameras and brought home the reels.  Just annihilates any conspiracy "theory" pinned to the necessarily low-fidelity TV transmissions.

Does almost as much to corrode "faith in humanity" as Belzer's brainless notion that black skies in moon photos imply velvet backdrops and a Capricorn One stage.  I mean, he's of the celluloid generation and should know at least the bare fundamentals of exposure value.  Kodak used to print them on every box of film!

Staggering.

I must be getting old. What does "Brap" mean? :(
Braap is the official way to spell a fart noise.

Here is my issue with the moon landing:

2 guys on the moon.  1 flying around it in orbit.  They get in the lander and the top half blasts off and "some how" unites and connects with the orbiter.  No video?  What are the details on how they docked?

Does this fucking moron not know anything about the Apollo program.

I think Kubrick was saying societies been prostituted (especially with Eyes Wide Shut)...whored out more or less, and I think he said it in all of his films post Apollo 11. And I ask why call it Apollo? If you want facts?

It's the random ridiculous sound that Hoagland's chair makes that sounds like fart noises while he's on the air.

The Hoagland memes deeply inspire me.

This clown is wrong about Apollo 11.  They just about ran out of fuel before landing the LEM.  It was a nail-biter.

That would be a negative Ghost Rider.

GravitySucks

Apollo 11 wasn't perfect.  The computer overloaded and several alarms had to be ignored.  There was a lot of consternation when they were trying to land the LEM.

He does understand how long astronauts train for a mission, doesn't he?

This is the same reasoning that says because pyramid stones fit together so perfectly, humans couldn't have done it.

It also works to imagine "Braaap" as the "Inception Horn," a popular bassy horn stab used in many, many movie trailers.

he's got a Face For Meme.

When debating moon deniers, you need to be well informed and to be a strong debater. Stan Friedman simply is not up to it.

My age must be helping me. I used to not even be able to listen to his voice without wishing to tear my ears off... but now... I find him funny as hell. His show is like reading the national enquierer on the potty... but with more poo.
