One Country, Two Systems. Period.
Go live there for a few years before you open your mouth.

I've been to both places a number of times. And you, sir, are a naive fool. Good day, now.

The voice of reason....finally.

Yeah.

Somebody should advise the gentleman that this is bellgab and we don't use 'reason' around here none.  To vent unreasonably is... to be.

Everyone likes the Donald he's not afraid to speak his mind. I like him for that reason not that i agree with everything he says not that i will be voting for him. His anti gun policies prevent me from doing that.

I think you are exactly right.  Trump is saying what a lot of us are feeling.  Some of us say it, but hey, we're racists and bitter bible thumping, gun clingers.  Trump is a famous dude and that makes it alright for the silent that are feeling it to echo his comments but with him as the lightning rod.

Anti-gun.....yeah.  That doesn't work for me either.  I would have to look for a sea change on his view of personal ownership of firearms.  I know it's been said time and again, but those who would take away or legislate our firearms seem to always have armed guards to cover their dumb asses.  Who's gonna cover mine?

I actually do think we should go after the drug lords.

No argument.  I did drug interdiction in the 80's.  I've seen that shit stacked high and burned.  Washed, rinsed and repeated.  For 3 years.  Make a dent in the supply system?  Maybe, yeah.  Stop it?  Nope.

The only way to stop it is to make it too damn dangerous for the moneymakers to make money.  Kill their families in their own homes.  Capture and execute these fucks in the field for crimes against humanity. No trial needed.  Their souls are forfeit.

Harsh?  Not harsh enough.  The animals that profit fm this have divorced themselves fm humanity.  The penalty is death.

Wait.  What?  We're the good guys, we don't do that kind of thing?  Go back to slurping your soy latte and don't worry your pretty little empty head.  We do, do that thing.  Routinely.  Unfortuanetely, we only go after the low hanging fruit and the occasional poor bastard who has outlived his usefulness to the real power behind the narco thrones.  Happened to Pablo Escobar.  Happened to Noriega.  One got smoked the other was more valuable as shiny thing in a cell.

But wait, you all have seen this movie...haven't you?

Some vent more reasonably than others. ;)

Fadis sounds sincere, except the part where he doesnt mention he is running for Congress.  A deliberate choice, and I'm fine with it as a listener.  Good guest, and entertained.

Sounds like Art needed to scratch the ISIS itch out of his mind.

He (Faddis) said, after Art asked if Snowden is a traitor or hero, that he doesn't necessarily agree with everything that the NSA has done, but what he failed to say was that if it were not for Snowden he wouldn't have the slightest clue what the NSA has been up to.
For anybody complaining about the "security" breaches that he caused, please look at the archive of what was released and try to spot where security was compromised. (all releases found here. https://snowdenarchive.cjfe.org/greenstone/cgi-bin/library.cgi?site=localhost&a=p&p=about&c=snowden1&l=en&w=utf-8 .)  Also, read some of them and tell me that you do not feel a little outrage.

As to him landing in Moscow, blame the US.  He was trying to get to a Latin American country for asylum when the US stranded him in the Moscow airport when they suspended his passport.  It was not the first choice and making it sound like he went there for asylum is misinformed.

What he released where documents demonstrating to me that under PRISM my hotmail account, outlook, google, skype and a host of other services are providing a direct back door for data collection.  He told the Germans that their chancellor is being spied on, and told businesses that the US enjoys their secrets.  Under MYSTIC, the NSA recorded every phone call in the Bahamas and one other (unnamed) country and the metadata of several others.  He told the average person that every keystroke they make and site they visit will be archived for eternity.

If he is a traitor, we need more.  I don't fault people for saying that he is a traitor- perhaps legally he is... Morally, he shed light on something that people should know and understand.

Snowden gave away the keys to the kingdom. For that, he should spend the rest of his days in a concrete box at the bottom of the super-max facility in Florence, CO.

... so is the concrete box not locked, or is it , not a part of the kingdom? I really don't think you've thought this thing through, you corporate fascist cracker apologist.

Not everyone can live to the standards you do, sir. Some of us have to be secure in the knowledge that you will be there to keep us in line. Thanks.

So you see your perception of our future interaction as one likely to include a retort that you either can or cannot anticipate? That's interesting. Tell me more. Tell me how you feel about that. Tell me only the good things you remember... about your mother latest performance review.

Let me explain. You are very clever and you are probably even more intelligent. But you sure as fuck are tedious, why? What? people don't think exactly like you? Someone thinks 911 wasn't orchestrated by the government, they must be some form of a shill, because only you have the answers. What you seem to miss, is how much a shill you appear to be.

so really Faddis, either get your fuckign facts straight or stop trying to impress the morons that believe the NSA programs have been a good deal for America.

This is an unreasonable choice to impose on the man. Let's be realistic--if he told the truth about anything important to an international audience, he'd likely either have to forfeit a great deal of his payola, or, his family would simply be killed. At the minimum, he would have to give back at least one of his little medals.

For an educated man, you really do project a lot, are you aware of that Onan?

Snowden packed up all his dirty secrets and fled to the comforting graces of the Red Chinese. Certainly you must understand this. When they had all they needed from him, they sent him to Russia. Now, what do you think the kind-hearted souls in Moscow did to our little cream-puff boy spy? Come on. You can`t be that naive.

I'm looking forward to getting back to discussing this discontinuity. In the meantime, we can get back to discussing the Pentagon for a little bit just to kill time, that's always fun!

The problem is that just like the Taliban, there are more in line seeking the throne. I say we do all of this and then make selling drugs a mandatory life sentence if you get busted with intent to distribute.
