Decent flick and book. The guy who made the film also made Robocop and Total Recall.

All three are classics (if slightly in the campy camp).  I friggin love all those flicks.

Starship Troopers was by far the most scathing indictment of modern American culture that's ever been widely released.  I've always been baffled that more people didn't notice.
