Starship Troopers was by far the most scathing indictment of modern American culture that's ever been widely released.  I've always been baffled that more people didn't notice.

probably because there are so few people who were picked last in PE, and have this grudge against strength and the struggle.

what 3 books would u have taken into the future ?

What an incredibly agonizing question...my first inclination would be:

The Flame of Attention by Jiddu Krishnamurti
The Complete Works of William Shakespeare
The Kama Sutra of Vatsyayana

trostol

another would have to be the complete Lovecraft stories

I have been asked this before, i think these where my answers
A Farewell to Arms
Catch 22
And maybe some great history book to show the future about the past.

good choices    i would probably go with   dictionary    some basic/remedy medical book  and  its a toss up  bible or some other fiction book

Don't try to get all lofty with the Kama Sutra. Just admit that you'd wanna take some porn  ;)

I would agree with the medical book, but if you are in the future they would know more than we do now.
No need for a dictionary.
The bible? are you serious? Depending on how far you go in the future i sincerely hope religion will be a thing of the past.

Oh don't get me started, sir.  She's my early 90's infatuation.
Mine was Marilyn Chambers, i got to meet her once, i almost jizzed from hugging her, it was one of the best days i had in my 20's.
Also she was really cool, she spends time with fans.
