This rocket recovery is actually a big deal. If the stage can be refurbished and reliably used this will be a game changer in space matters.

it is..but it isn't really leading us to get anywhere any quicker

did I just hear "... the Holy Grail of wocketry ..."?

Yes it was.  I'm in my 40's and want to play it again.  :D

....can't do that though because it's creepy on the playground with kids.  ;D

So YOU'RE the guy all the kids choose for their team first, and spend forty years in therapy getting over. ;)

If you're talking about the majority of people in the world we're already using it but you keep can keep your 7 rams to the hoghead type system.  ;)

The US tried, there's a bizarre road sign near me that cost god knows how much that gives the distance in kilometers and miles. It's been there for decades, replaced many times at god knows what cost by whatever federal regulation that requires it to be there and it hasn't worked worth a shit. Wasted tax money. Logic and practicality do not always see eye to eye in reality when dealing with humans.

You summed it up perfectly. I can feel my mind slipping away :/

The show is a yawn.  But the actual launch/land event was cool and a long overdue development.

It could well do so in the sense of making journeys to orbit cheaper far sooner than they otherwise would be.
If you mean transit times between planets and such there are things that could be built starting now to address this.

DD4SKYART

This show seems to be live, referring to recent events.

I guess the next best thing to getting Elon Musk on your shoe is getting someone who talks about him on.

Might come in handy for people who want to opt out on going to the moon.  Ride the booster back down to base and be sipping a martini in the Cape's 50's rocket retro bar within half an hour.  ;)

Well, now that you're here that's sure to change.

i thought you where going to ignore her? lol

DD4SKYART

A trip to orbit has to get below 100 dollars a kilo before it can be something a person can aspire to afford. Not it's more like 5000 dollars a kg if I recall correctly.

I have to open my window.  Stuffy in here.  Frikin' 12/23 and it's 62 degrees.

I'm going to go relax and listen. Have a good one all!
