I've still got one I won in a radio call in contest back in the early eighties...seems like I've only changed the battery twice.  Keeps perfect time.

That's a pretty good clock for people who struggle.  My old clock was so loud and grating that it trained me to get up minutes before it went off.

That's good.  Keep it running.  Funny thing is...I was bummed when I threw my clock out. I got it the summer before my freshman year of high school and it saw me through a divorce.

LOL - Just the opposite here. Mine was so loud and annoying, it trained me to sleep through it. Very quiet out of place sound will wake me in an instant though. Needless to say, I don't use alarm clocks anymore.
