I remember standing in line at Meany Hall, University of Washington, to see Hoagland's presentation after he'd discovered the buildings on Mars.  Big crowd!  When Richard finally took the stage and started showing his slides, the audience as a whole leaned forward and squinted to get a look.  Then everyone started looking at each other, then back at Hoagie's presentation.

I think we were all expecting to see like an aerial shot of Manhattan or something.  Some people lasted the entire presentation, but I left early.  Yeah, I never see his stuff, either.
