I have a suspicion that he read some Larry Niven, which is why I included that decade, but certainly not much further past that.

I have my doubts he ever read Niven. His ideas about the potential technological level of a ancient alien race are primitive when compared to Niven's concepts like Ringworld.

Richard makes a good point, there is no explanation for the process of writing. You get into a trance sometimes, and then you look at what you wrote hours later you have no idea how you did that or where it came from.

The Jungian archetypes.

Weren't those the root of the Myers-Briggs personality test?  I gotta say I was pretty amazed by that personally.

It's a paradoxical dichotomy...Love your new avatar!

It's sad to know RCH seems to have a Dave-level knowledge or comprehension of comic books.

Thank you. No one was a vampire football fan?

Wait, we're supposed to be talking about Marvel comix, and instead we're delving into RCH's interpersonal relationships with well-known luminaries.

Maybe so but Dave would ask such things as "What kind of crayons do you use?...."

RCH is no writer. Oye.

I was hoping SaucyRosy could get someone like Ellis or Grant Morrison on to talk with RCH. But now I'm afraid they would make his brain melt into a Dave-like puddle.

At what point is Richard going to realize these guests aren't experts on ancient civilizations and reincarnation?

Yet he can still go on interminably

That could be true. Even Niven was obsolete from the start. The ringworld is physically impossible and Dyson's idea was actually a Dyson swarm instead of a sphere. One thing that Richard has no grasp whatsoever of is nanotechnology. It's not even on his radar, which is why he sounds so ridiculous and dated in his futurism.

At what point are these guests going to realize that RCH isn't an expert on anything?
