I went skydiving once.  I was thinking more about running through the procedures I had learned and not screwing up, thereby ticking off the jump master, than I was about the actual sensation of jumping.   I can't even imagine this multiplied by all the rehearsals the astronauts had gone through.  They had probably walked through it a hundred times already.
