Oh this stuff I do know all off the top of my head. I remember, last year at this time, watching in horror as Daesh was closing in on Kobani. I was very upset that Obama wasn't helping, John Kerry even called Kobani worthless as a tactical target. Eventually the administration realized how stupid that was and began to help the YPG/YPJ. Once Kobani was liberated the YPG/YPJ went on an absolute rampage and has been defeating Daesh left and right. It's been amazing to watch.

It has many times. The most recent example is the Soviet Union. Emma Goldman wrote extensively about it for example.

I, personally, am not a Marxist-Leninist but more of just a general Socialist. I don't like to get myself boggled down into the different ideologies.  But it's fun to play around with the imagery with all of you.
