Speaking of my call to RCH, I found this article on the universe being a holographic projection of a two-dimensional universe.

If we don't have a third dimension, I'm not sure why we would have a first or second either.  I believe it's possible there is no physical dimension, but every point in the Universe (at the Planck scale) is given a precedence with respect to every other point.  Information would be transferred from point to point to point at a specific frequency, and we would interpret this transfer as the speed of light, and infer dimension from that.  That helps me understand why the universe is bounded by a speed and not a location.  It would also help me understand quantum entanglement.  I hope to eventually study enough physics to learn if this contradicts anything.

If that were true, you might just be able to reprogram your location without scrambling your atoms in a transporter, as Hoagie suggested last night.

I recall a few good shows with Knapp on this concept and a couple with Norry that weren't as good. I seem to recall someone with Ian, years ago, -found it- with an admitted schizophrenic who doesn't take meds anymore once he discovered this holographic universe/matrix reality.
