My mother was a psychiatric nurse for the state of Illinois for 25 years. This is just one of the community services that really is a vital part of the system that must be supported...it's almost as important as public safety, and a part of it can actually be categorized as public safety...

There are so many programs that are underfunded, and it is easy to politicize who is responsible...but the fact I hope that we can all agree on soon is how we get our labor participation rate up so that we have more people providing for themselves, getting out of the system, and putting more in to help alleviate these problems...both the left and the right should agree that if you are able bodied, you should be working...so how do we make that happen?

Part of the problem is, most people use their life experience as their filter for what is important. Even in your post, you suggest that able bodied should work. No one in their right mind thinks differently. The issue is that those with severe and persistent mental illness are never going to be able bodied.

Actually I did not mean that at all...I was supporting your stance for more support for the mentally ill...I do not consider them able bodied (as able minded is not an accepted economic classification)...mentall illness is a legal disability and are not calculated in the Labor Participation Rate...

She did her job well.  Looks like Trump's campaign is starting to implode.  Erick Erickson at Red State disinvited Trump to his Red State gathering after Trump made a comment about Megyn having a period or something like that.  Erick is a good guy and was deeply offended by Trump's crude remark. I do think Trump may be a bit of a misogynist. It's a shame because I was somewhat in Trump's corner since he was a Washington outsider.  Now I think we may need to take another look at people like Carson and Cruz.

It was going to happen sooner or later.  I never really thought he had much of a chance because he turns off too many people.


Erickson would have accepted Trump's apology for saying the crude remark but Trump would have none of it.  He called Erick pathetic.  That sort of behavior is unacceptable.

We all do.  He does regret the Souter comment saying it was not his finest moment.  He also called Kasich an asshole due to personal dealings with the man.   As for Souter, he was a liberal hack who I had no respect for.  He and his friends tow the party line and don't behave as judges should.  They are part of the problem in Washington. Making up law as they go along.  That is not their job.
